I found a piece of paper on the ground this morning outside the apt building where I live, I picked it up & read it to see if it was trash and found it to be a letter to the office and the new owners. (which I did tape to the office door) Wow! This is what it said...
"You *%$# people are *%$ up. The weight room is puny too. The ^%%$ pizza guy couldn't find our apt and it's all you fault. There are no &$&%$$ signs or lights that point the way to my building. The previous owners ^&%^$& this place up and you need to fix it"
He wasn't even shy about who he was as he signed his name at the bottom.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God - having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them.
Having a form of godliness...made in the image of God...but denying it's power. Everyone has a choice. If anyone goes to hell after hearing the gospel message it's because THEY DENIED HIS POWER. They refused to accept God and all He has to offer. There is nothing sadder in this world.
We really must be diligent, this is what our children are witnessing and exposed to when they leave our homes. We must build an eternal foundation in them, that means sacrifice, it means we cannot worry about being their best friends, we must sometimes deny them certain passions and pleasures in order to teach self discipline, self control, responsibility, and respect. Just as Jesus was made a surety for us "By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament - Hebrews 7:22"
The children in our care have been placed their by God, and by partnering with Christ, you and me are their surety too.
""I myself will be surety for him; you may hold me responsible for him. If I do not bring him back to you and set him before you, then let me bear the blame before you forever." Genesis 43:9
Men, It is time to get serious about our walk with Christ.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with you always and to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.
