Ephesians 5:20

"Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ."

A Parenting Lesson from Hannah...

In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly.  And she made a vow, saying, “Lord Almighty, if you will only look on your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life...Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard...So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, “Because I asked the Lord for him.”...Hannah Dedicates Samuel...After he was weaned, she took the boy with her, young as he was, along with a three-year-old bull, an ephah of flour and a skin of wine, and brought him to the house of the Lord at Shiloh... So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord.” And he worshiped the Lord there. ~ Select Verses from 1Samuel chapter 1~

Shiloh is a prophecy of the Messiah as we see in Genesis. The fulfillment of the promise to Judah is when Shiloh comes (Genesis 49:10-12). "The scepter shall not pass from Judah until Shiloh comes...and the people shall gather at His feet."

Salvation through Jesus Christ is God's perfect rest. He can give us His perfect peace. Because we have "been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1).

Hannah poured out her heart to the Lord for a child, she made a vow to dedicate him to God, then she made sacrifices to keep that vow, and finally gave her child over to be raised in Shiloh.

What can we learn from this?

We often pray for our children to be happy but do we pray for them to be Holy?

Through prayer cry out to God for your children. Pray the Holy Spirit would hear the groaning of your heart. Make a vow to give your children unto God to be holy. Make the hard choices or sacrifices to keep your vow, by raising them up in Christ.

Jeremiah 42:6

"Whether it is favorable or unfavorable, we will obey the Lord our God, so that it will go well with us, for we will obey the Lord our God."

"OBEDIENCE IS NOT A MATTER OF NEGOCIATIONS!"
"WHETHER THINGS WORK OUT THE WAY WE PLAN THEM!"
"OR WE GET SENT DOWN THE OPPOSITE ROAD!"

"WHATEVER MAY HAPPEN!"
"WHATEVER TRANSPIRES!"
"GOD REQUIRES OBEDIENCE, NOT ATTITUDE!"
"GOD DEMANDS LOYALTY, NOT EXCUSES!"

"THERE IS NEVER A VALID REASON FOR ANYONE TO EVER DISOBEY GOD!"
"THERE IS NO CONFERENCE TABLE WHERE WE CAN NEGOCIATE OUR TERMS OF OBEDIENCE WITH GOD!"

"GOD IS SUPREME!"
"THEREFORE, LET US HONOR HIS AUTHORITY, NOT QUESTION IT!"

Question:
While driving down the street & you see flashing lights come on, do you pull over as a sign of respect or do you figure they have to find a way around you?
I believe most people will usually pull over because they honor the authority given to the flashing lights!

"THE WISE PERSON HONORS AUTHORITY!"
"THEY NEVER QUESTION IT!"

Jeremiah 37:1-3

"Zedekiah son of Josiah was made king of Judah by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. Neither he, Nor his attendants, Nor the people of the land paid any attention to the words the Lord had spoken through Jeremiah the prophet.
King Zedekiah, HOWEVER, sent Jehukal son of Shelemiah with the priest Zephaniah son of Maaseiah to Jeremiah the prophet with this
message: “Please pray to the Lord our God for us.”"

Jesus said,
"But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?" (Luke 6:46)

These people were given ample opportunity to hear God's Word!
They were given plenty of warnings!
In fact, God even sent them a prophet!

"BUT THEY DID NOT PAY ATTENTION!"
"THEY DID NOT TAKE HEED!"
"YET, THEY EXPECTED TO RECEIVE THE BENEFITS OF OBEDIENCE!"

Jesus came & proclaimed liberty from a life of sin!
He taught us how to live, so that we won't have to die!
Through His teachings, we can learn how to handle our situations better!
Through obedience we begin to apply His teachings in our everyday life!

"But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?"
This scripture is not to condemn anyone, but to encourage everyone to:
"READ GOD'S WORD!"
"BELIEVE GOD'S WORD!"
"APPLY GOD'S WORD!"
Then eventually, you will begin to reap the benefits of obedience!

ENJOY YOUR DAY!

Jeremiah 32:38-41

"They will be My people, and I will be their God.
I will give them singleness of heart and action, so that they will always fear me and that all will then go well for them and for their children after them.
I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never stop doing good to them, and I will inspire them to fear Me, so that they will never turn away from Me.
I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all My heart and soul."

"COME & SEE!"
"COME & TASTE!"
"COME & ENJOY!"
"JUST COME!"
"YOU WILL NEVER REGRET IT!"

"JESUS HAS MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR US TO JOIN HIS HEAVENLY FAMILY!"
"COME!"
"JUST COME!"
"COME TO CHRIST & RECEIVE THE GIFT OF SALVATION!"
"ETERNAL PROVISION IS YOURS!"

"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?"
"COME!"
"COME!"
"COME!"

"ALL OF HEAVEN AWAITS YOUR ARRIVAL!"
"THEY ARE READY TO THROW A PARTY IN YOUR HONOR!"
"YES!" "YOU ARE THAT SPECIAL!" "YOU ARE THAT IMPORTANT!"

The Gospel of Grace...want to stop sinning? It's gonna hurt a little.

Peter reminds us that "if we suffer in the flesh, we shall cease from sin and live the rest of our life, doing the will of God" (1 Pet.4:1, To "suffer in the flesh" does not mean becoming sick in the body, for no-one has ever stopped sinning thereby. It does not mean being beaten and bruised for Christ's sake either, for no-one has stopped sinning that way either.

It refers rather to denying the desires of Self, which are in opposition to the will of God. Sin brings a certain pleasure. To suffer is the opposite of enjoying that pleasure. If we are willing to suffer in each and every situation, then we can cease from sin. God will help us if we are willing. In fact, He even works to make us willing (Phil.2:12, 13). But so often we resist His workings. That is why we remain defeated.

Christ suffered in the flesh, and we are to arm ourselves with the same mind. Jesus walked this way of self-denial all His life. He came to earth in the flesh and never did His own will but always the will of His Father, no matter how much suffering that may have involved (Jn.6:38). Thus He never sinned. Now, we also have the opportunity to "follow in His steps, Who committed no sin" (1 Pet. 2:21, 22).

This is the gospel (good news) of the grace of God.

Jeremiah 31:10-11

"Hear the word of the Lord , you nations; proclaim it in distant coastlands:
‘He who scattered Israel will gather them and will watch over His flock like a shepherd.’
For the Lord will deliver Jacob and redeem them from the hand of those stronger than they."

IF YOU ARE A CHILD OF THE MOST HIGH!
A FOLLOWER OF CHRIST!
A FAITHFUL BELIEVER!
IF YOU CURRENTLY FIND YOURSELF IN A TOUGH SITUATION!

THEN BE ENCOURAGED!
THIS PROMISE IS FOR YOU!!!

"NOTHING WILL EVER OVERCOME YOU!"
"ALTHOUGH AT TIMES IT MAY SEEM AS THOUGH THE ENEMY HAS THE UPPERHAND IN YOUR LIFE, JUST REMEMBER THIS PROMISE!"

"THE LORD HAS YOUR BACK!!!"

Jeremiah 24:4-7

"Then the word of the Lord came to me:
“This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Like these good figs, I regard as good the exiles from Judah, whom I sent away from this place to the land of the Babylonians.
My eyes will watch over them for their good, and I will bring them back to this land. I will build them up and not tear them down; I will plant them and not uproot them.
I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord. They will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with all their heart."

"WHAT SEEMS BAD IN YOUR LIFE MAY ACTUALLY BE A BLESSING!"

"PERSPECTIVE IS ALWAYS NEEDED!"

Here, in this text, God was having a conversation with Jeremiah about the exiles of Judah in Babylonian captivity.
As we all know, captivity is not a pleasant experience for anyone!
But, it was being used by God to show Judah His Sovereignty, Grace, Mercy & Sustaining Power!
All for one purpose!

"TO DRAW THEIR HEARTS BACK TO HIM!"

With this being said:
"GOD WILL USE ANY SITUATION TO DRAW OUR HEARTS TO HIM!"
"WHETHER GOOD OR BAD!"

"MANY TIMES, WHAT WE MAY CONSIDER BAD, GOD SIMPLY CONSIDERS IT A CIRCUMSTANCE!"
"WHAT WE MAY CONSIDER THE END OF THE WORLD, GOD DECLARES A NEW BEGINNING!"

"PERSPECTIVE IS ALWAYS NEEDED!"
"NOT OURS, BUT GOD'S!"
"WHEN WE SEE THROUGH GOD'S EYES, WE FINALLY BEGIN TO SEE THINGS CORRECTLY!

Jeremiah 23:23-32

"“Am I only a God nearby,” declares the Lord , “and not a God far away?
Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the Lord .
“Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord .
“I have heard what the prophets say who prophesy lies in My Name. They say, ‘I had a dream! I had a dream!’ How long will this continue in the hearts of these lying prophets, WHO PROPHESY THE DELUSIONS OF THEIR OWN MINDS? They think the dreams they tell one another will make My people forget My Name, just as their ancestors forgot My Name through Baal worship. Let the prophet who has a dream recount the dream, BUT LET THE ONE WHO HAS MY WORD SPEAK IT FAITHFULLY. For what has straw to do with grain?” declares the Lord . “Is not My Word like fire,” declares the Lord , “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?
“Therefore,” declares the Lord , “I am against the prophets who steal from one another words SUPPOSEDLY FROM ME. Yes,” declares the Lord , “I am against the prophets who wag their own tongues and yet declare, ‘The Lord declares.’ Indeed, I am against those who prophesy false dreams,” declares the Lord . “They tell them and lead My people astray with their reckless lies, YET I DID NOT SEND THEM. THEY DO NOT BENEFIT THESE PEOPLE IN THE LEAST!” declares the Lord."

"IN THESE LAST DAYS, BEFORE JESUS' RETURN, THINGS ARE ONLY BOUND TO GET WORSE!"
"THEREFORE, BE ALERT! BE PRAYED UP! BE FILLED WITH GOD'S WORD!"
"THEN NO ONE WILL BE ABLE TO LEAD YOU ASTRAY!"

"IF WE WALK WITH GOD, TALK WITH GOD, THEN HE WILL SHOW US WHAT DIRECTION TO GO!"

"GOD WILL REVEAL HIS PLANS FOR YOUR LIFE TO YOU & CONFIRM IT THROUGH HIS WORD & OTHERS!"
"IN THAT ORDER!"

"OTHERS MAY BRING CONFIRMATION, BUT GOD MUST BE THE ONE GIVING DIRECTION!"
"DO NOT BE DECEIVED!" "BE ALERT!"

This is so important I had to re-post it. A message from Pastor Greg Laurie

The Whole Counsel of God

For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God.

When I speak I try to keep it interesting. I try to keep it real. I try to keep it understandable. But I am not there to entertain an audience or to make people feel good. My job, if you will, is to exposit the Word of God. Because it really doesn't matter what Greg Laurie thinks about anything. My opinion isn't any better than anyone else's opinion.

For me as a pastor, I have a responsibility to declare the whole counsel of God and feed the flock of God. That is the advantage of expository preaching and teaching. By expository, I mean taking the text and letting it unfold. We don't impose our views on the text; we let the text impose its views on us. It is not for us to add things to the text.

Sometimes pastors use a text as a point of departure for their messages. A verse will be read, and then whoever is speaking will just tell stories. They might be good stories. They might be good jokes. They might be very entertaining. And as you leave, you might say, "That was so good. I loved that. It was really good." You have no idea what he said, but you know it was fun.

The apostle Paul told the Ephesian elders, "For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God" (Acts 20:27). I think that is the most important thing. We need to get our minds oriented toward what the Bible says.

Too often we build our opinions on our feelings. But it doesn't matter what we feel. What does the Bible say? Do what the Bible says, because feelings can mislead you. Don't base decisions in life on mere feelings. Base them on the Word of God.

Psalm 62:1-2

"Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him.
Truly He is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken."

"LET US REMIND OURSELVES THESE THINGS IN THE MIDST OF THE TRIALS!"

"DON'T WAIT FOR DEFEAT TO COME, THEN AFTERWARDS CLAIM THIS!"

"INSTEAD CLAIM IT DURING & AFTER YOUR VICTORY!"

"REMAINING CALM IN THE MIDST OF TRIALS WILL GIVE YOU THE FOCUS TO GET YOU THROUGH!"

Jeremiah 17:5-8

"This is what the Lord says:
“Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord .
That person will be like a bush in the wastelands; they will not see prosperity when it comes.
They will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives.
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.
They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”"

I don't know about anyone else, but if God said it, I will believe it!

I will say it again:
"IF GOD SAID IT, I WILL BELIEVE IT!"

But here goes the tricky part!
"A PERSON LIVES ACCORDING TO THEIR BELIEF SYSTEM!"

I believe that if I step in front of a moving vehicle, it will cause me harm, therefore I avoid moving vehicles!
I also believe that Jesus saved me for a purpose!
That purpose was to proclaim His Love to a dying world!
Therefore, I live pursuant of that goal because I believe it is my calling!

I've told you mine!
Now, may I ask you:
"WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?"

But here goes the tricky part!
"DOES YOUR LIFESTYLE BARE WITNESS OF YOUR BELIEF SYSTEM?"

1 Corinthians 15:57-58

"But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain."

"GOD HAS GIVEN US THE OPPORTUNITY OF A LIFETIME!"

"THEREFORE, MAKE THE BEST OF IT!"

"EVERY MOMENT!"

"EVERY WORD!"

"EVERY DAY!"

God bless you all!
I pray that God would use me on a daily basis to encourage you!
I pray that God would use you to do the same!
I pray that we would remain faithful in the midst of trials!
I pray that every Christian would grow in their love for one another!
I pray that our love for the lost would overflow!
I pray that Jesus is the one that is seen through our actions!

Jeremiah 16:20-21

"Do people make their own gods?
Yes, but they are not gods!”
“Therefore I will teach them— this time I will teach them My power and might.
Then they will know that My name is the Lord."

In Ignorance, people do & say the wrong things!
In Love, God corrects & disciplines!
In Wisdom, Jesus taught us how to live!
In Agony, He died to proclaim His message of love!
In Victory, He rose from the dead to declare eternity!

"WITH MERCY IN MIND, WE MUST PREACH THE MESSAGE OF SALVATION!"
"BUT WE MUST NEVER LOOSE SIGHT OF WHO PROVIDES IT!"

"GOD IS A HOLY GOD & HE CALLS HIS PEOPLE TO HOLINESS!"

"DON'T EVER LET GRACE BECOME YOUR EXCUSE TO WALK IN DARKNESS!"

"NEVER FEAR EXPOSING THE TRUTH WHEN IT IS GOD WHO STIRS YOU!"
"JESUS UNDERSTOOD HIS PURPOSE HERE ON EARTH!"
"HE ALSO TAUGHT HIS DISCIPLES TO UNDERSTAND THEIR'S!"

WHAT IS YOUR SPECIFIC PURPOSE?
DO YOU KNOW?

"KNOWING ONE'S PURPOSE GIVES LIFE A WHOLE NEW MEANING!"

Jeremiah 14:22

Do any of the worthless idols of the nations bring rain?
Do the skies themselves send down showers?
No, it is You, Lord our God.
Therefore our hope is in You, for You are the one who does all this."

"PUT YOUR COMPLETE TRUST IN THE LORD!"
"YOU WILL SOON REALIZE THAT YOUR LIFE IS NOT THE SAME!"

I don't mean go to church!
Neither am I saying to pray 50 times a day!
Or read 25 chapters an hour!

What I am saying is to begin to obey The Lord's Teachings!
To set aside human reasoning!
To allow God to set the limits in your life & not man!

God created you to shine, not blend in!

I will say it again!
"PUT YOUR COMPLETE TRUST IN THE LORD!"
"YOU WILL SOON REALIZE THAT YOUR LIFE IS NOT THE SAME!"

Are you hungry and thirsty?

Have you ever been really hungry? I mean really, really hungry? Have you ever been intensely thirsty? So thirsty your body ached for a drink of refreshing water, in fact it needed one?

Jesus teaches, "Blessed are those who Hunger and Thirst after Righteousness, for they shall be filled" ~Matthew 5:6~

In Greek the word hunger is πεινάω translated peinaó - Phonetic Spelling:
(pi-nah'-o) meaning... hungry, needy, to desire earnestly.

Thirst is:  Original Word: διψάω translated dipsaó - Phonetic Spelling: (dip-sah'-o)

Meaning...I thirst for, desire earnestly.

Righteousness is: δικαιοσύνη, ης, ἡ translated dikaiosuné - Phonetic Spelling: (dik-ah-yos-oo'-nay) Meaning:  Righteousness of which God is the source or author, but practically: a divine righteousness, the approval of God, what is right in God's eyes.

When was the last time you were truly Hungry and Thirsty for God's approval and divine righteousness? Or is it just something you simply desire like desert after you've already eaten. You feel like you don't really need it but it would be nice to have it.  If you get it great, but if not, well your not really hungry anyway so it's OK?

Oh Blessed are the few who truly ache for God's approval. Those who live in surrender everyday as there is nothing more in this world they desire and ache for than God's Divine Righteousness. Those who cry out to Him, who consistently grow in their knowledge of Him, those who would gladly give up all to have Christ for just one minute.

For they...shall be filled... χορτάζω - chortazó - (khor-tad'-zo)  feed, satisfied,

They shall be Content with their lot in life for they know Christ and need nothing more.

Are you hungry and thirsty? Don't answer to quickly. Go before God and see how He answers that question. If He answers no, cry out to Him and ask Him to make you hungry and thirsty.

Here are the Lyrics to Sidewalk Prophets "Keep Making Me"

Make me brokenSo I can be healed'Cause I'm so callousedAnd now I can't feelI want to run to YouWith heart wide openMake me broken
Make emptySo I can be filled'Cause I'm still holdingOnto my willAnd I'm completedWhen you are with meMake me empty
Chorus'Til You are my one desire'Til You are my one true love'Til You are my breath, my everythingLord, please keep making me
Make me lonelySo I can be Yours'Til I want no oneMore than You, Lord'Cause in the darknessI know You will hold meMake me lonely

WE NEED HIM!

Jeremiah 12:5
"If you have raced with men on foot and they have worn you out,
how can you compete with horses?
If you stumble in safe country,
how will you manage in the thickets by the Jordan?"

Jeremiah 13:23
"Can an Ethiopian change his skin or a leopard its spots?
Neither can you do good who are accustomed to doing evil."

These verses reveal a major flaw in mankind!
I know you are wondering what that flaw could be!
It's really simple:
"WEAKNESS!"

I know you are also wondering how to overcome this weakness!
How do I know this?
Because mankind always seeks an answer to the unknown!

The answer is also pretty simple if we study God's Word!
Jesus said:
"And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to help you and be with you forever..."

Who was Jesus referring to?
Was He not referring to the Holy Spirit?
Is it not the Holy Spirit who empowers?

The fact is that:
"WE ALL NEED THE HOLY SPIRIT IN OUR CHRISTIAN WALK!"
"WITHOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT, WE WILL EVENTUALLY EXHAUST OUR STRENGTH!"
"WITHOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT, WE WILL NEVER BREAK FREE OF BAD HABITS!"

"THE HOLY SPIRIT EMPOWERS US & OVERCOMES OUR WEAKNESSES!"

Can a Christian Lose their Salvation?

It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance
Hebrews 6:4-8
Many have misunderstood this verse and it has been the subject of many debates for a LONG, LONG, TIME. This verse is not talking about true Christ followers or people who have truly surrendered their heart to God, but rather those who have merely tasted it, been involved in ministry or been around true Christians, church goers if you will. It is saying to someone who has been given the FULL KNOWLEDGE of Christ...in other words they have been told all there is to tell, there is nothing else that can be added to the message they have heard...if this is the case, and they still reject submitting to God through brokenness, THEN AND ONLY THEN, it is impossible for them to come to repentance as there is nothing more that can be said that would lead them to repentance.

Hebrews 10:26-27 tells us, "If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God"

Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus. He also tasted the goodness of God, He walked with Jesus for several years and was involved in Jesus' ministry, Judas preached and witnessed miracles and yet never surrendered his heart to Christ. Did he lose his salvation?

The Bible leads us to believe he never had it, for his heart was motivated by greed. The apostle John portrays Judas Iscariot as “a devil” John 6:70 and a “thief” John 12:6, as one who was motivated and possessed by Satan John 13:2, 27, and as “the son of perdition” (an unrepentant person destined for eternal damnation) John 17:12

But can a True Christian Lose Salvation?

1 John 2:18-19 tells us, "...even now many antichrists have come...They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us.
For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us;
but their going showed that none of them belonged to us."

There are those that look and act like Christians but are not surrendered, and when they walk away from their human faith, never having had saving faith from above, people want to say they lost their salvation, but scripture really tells us they never had it.

How can you tell a true Christ follower? The Bible say's in many places (I'm paraphrasing here), "Those that have surrendered their heart to Christ Jesus will continue growing in knowledge of Him and continue growing in faith and obedience to the very end"  The verse 1 John 2:19 tells us those that have fallen away we're never truly saved, they never belong to us (the Christian Family)

Jesus Himself said in John 8:31, "To the Jews who had believed in Him, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples" Implying not all who said they believed were really Christ followers, there were and are those who have proclaimed belief, who are acting the part, but never truly surrendered in their hearts

Now be careful though before passing judgment because "Fallen Away" does not mean someone who is backslidden or has had a moment of weakness in their life,  it means a true Apostate or a denouncing of ones faith in Christ and the Bible.

Christians. Those who truly believe, will continue growing in Christ,
not by their own might but by the Holy Spirit.

As True Christ Followers, Romans 8:38-39 so clearly encourages us to believe God Himself, the One who called us, will keep us, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

If you have truly surrendered to Christ and are growing in your relationship with Him, not perfect, but humbled and living a repentant lifestyle... rest assured,

You are Safe in the Hands of Jesus.

1 Corinthians 1:17

"For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power."

"THE GOSPEL IS MEANT TO BE PREACHED IN ITS SIMPLEST FORM!"
"NOTHING IS NEEDED!"
"NOTHING SHOULD BE TAKEN AWAY!"
"THEN & ONLY THEN WILL IT CARRY OUT ITS TRUE PURPOSE!"

"THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL IS ENEVELOPED BY SIMPLICITY, IN ORDER THAT THE WORLD IN GENERAL, WOULD BENEFIT FROM GOD'S GENEROSITY!"

"THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL BREAKS THROUGH BARRIERS, BECAUSE IN ITSELF, IT HAS NO BARRIERS!"

THEREFORE;
"DO NOT EMPTY THE CROSS OF CHRIST OF ITS POWER!"
"INSTEAD LET THE CROSS OF CHRIST EMPOWER YOU TO TELL THE WORLD OF GOD'S LOVE FOR THEM!"

"THE CROSS OF CHRIST HAS THE POWER TO FREE US FROM SIN!"
"BECAUSE UPON THAT CROSS, CHRIST BORE THE PUNISHMENT OF SIN!"

"NO NEED TO OVERCOMPLICATE IT!"
"LET'S KEEP IT SIMPLE!"
"GOD LOVE EVERYONE & HE DOESN'T WANT ANYONE TO PERISH!"

May God bless you & enjoy your day!

Jeremiah 1:19

"They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord."

"MISINTERPRETING GOD'S WORD IS MAN'S SPECIALTY!"
"UNDERSTANDING GOD'S WORD IS THE HOLY SPIRIT'S ABILITY!"

Call them false teachers, unlearned, misinformed, short of spiritual discernment!
Call them what you may, but God declares them to be:
"DECEIVED & DECEIVERS OF MANY!"
"THE BLIND LEADING THE BLIND!"

Many would have you believe that this verse pertains to you!
They would claim something along the lines of:
"This is God's promise to you!" "Claim it & Receive it!"
Although they may be right in their statement, they are only declaring the "PROMISE", but not teaching or emphasizing what must take place in order for the promise to be fulfilled!

"OBEDIENCE TO GOD!"

"Humanity has run it's course!"
"In the pursuit of knowledge, humanity has lost the ability of application!"
It is said that:
"We are further along in knowledge than we are in obedience!"
"WE KNOW MORE THAN WE OBEY!"

The promise given here was given to Jeremiah, therefore let's take a brief look at him. He was:
ACTIVE IN HIS FAITH!
OBEDIENT TO GOD'S CALL!
SEPERATED FOR GOD'S WORK!
INTENTIONAL IN PROCLAMING GOD'S MESSAGE!
In other words: "HE WAS A SERVANT OF GOD, NOT SELF!"

"THE PROMISES OF GOD MAY BE FOR US, BUT THEY ARE INTENDED TO BRING GOD GLORY, NOT SELF-SATISFACTION!"

What does it mean, really, "I can do ALL things in Christ"

4.  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phillipians 4:13

The famous coffee cup verse that sends us boldly and confidently forward into our day! This verse, while extremely powerful in proper context, is typically grossly distorted from the original intent in the writing of the Apostle Paul. At the time of the writing of this letter the Apostle Paul was imprisoned, awaiting execution, and was mentally preparing himself to leave this world. Paul is not saying here that through the strengthening of Jesus Christ we can overcome all obstacles or succeed in all things. What Paul is saying is that through the strengthening of Christ we can press forward and endure through all hardships…even death. This verse does not infer that by having faith in Christ we will achieve or prosper in all we aspire to, but rather in Christ we find the sufficient comfort and support to carry on through all adversity. The preceding verse, Phillipians 4:12 provides proper context to verse 13.

Phillipians 4:12-13 I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. 13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.

I can do all this through him who gives me strength. — Philippians 4:13 (NIV)

This short verse is often quoted by sports teams, bumper stickers and taglines as a rally cry to accomplish great things like running a marathon, climbing a mountain, winning the championship, finishing the remodel on the kitchen, etc.

However, this short — and powerful — passage gets its meaning amidst the context of contentment. Paul is writing this letter to the church in Philippi to let them know that God has taught him to be content in times of plenty and in times of desperation (he’s writing this letter in prison).

So, in its proper meaning, this verse is a tribute to a man who learned to follow God in any circumstance. Whatever came Paul's way, he handled with faith. It could be stoning, prison, shipwreck, beatings, etc. This passage is not a clarion call to go out and accomplish great feats of strength, but a beautiful reminder to pursue faith and trust God in the midst of the ups and downs of a life given fully to the cause of Christ.

So, if you get put in prison for preaching Christ, beaten, and learn to live with little food or possessions, and you find yourself content because you have Christ, well, this verse should definitely be quoted

New Heavens and a New Earth!

Isaiah 65:17-25
"“See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.
But be glad and rejoice forever in what I will create, for I will create Jerusalem to be a delight and its people a joy.
I will rejoice over Jerusalem and take delight in My people; the sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more.
“Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years; the one who dies at a hundred will be thought a mere child; the one who fails to reach a hundred will be considered accursed.
They will build houses and dwell in them; they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of My people; My chosen ones will long enjoy the work of their hands.
They will not labor in vain, nor will they bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the Lord, they and their descendants with them.
Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.
The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox, and dust will be the serpent’s food. They will neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mountain,” says the Lord."

"BEFORE THEY CALL I WILL ANSWER!"
"WHILE THEY ARE STILL SPEAKING I WILL HEAR!"

"There is Great Reward for the Righteous!"
"Therefore, don't be discourage by your surroundings!"
"One day, they won't even be a memory!"

Psalm 73:25 "whom do I have in Heaven except you? And on earth, there is nothing I desire but you"

"GOD'S FAVOR!"

Isaiah 61:1-11
"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,
and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.
They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations.
Strangers will shepherd your flocks; foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.
And you will be called priests of the Lord, you will be named ministers of our God. You will feed on the wealth of nations, and in their riches you will boast.
Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace you will rejoice in your inheritance. And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.
“For I, the Lord, love justice; I hate robbery and wrongdoing. In my faithfulness I will reward my people and make an everlasting covenant with them.
Their descendants will be known among the nations and their offspring among the peoples. All who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the Lord has blessed.”
I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For He has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of His righteousness,
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations."

Matthew 7:21-23

"Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’
Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’"

"BUT ONLY THOSE WHO DO THE WILL OF MY FATHER!"

"AWAY FROM ME, YOU EVILDOERS!"

Adversary means;
'Someone who fights against or opposes another...'

"IN ORDER FOR SOMEONE TO BE OUR ADVERSARY, THEY MUST DO THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT WE ARE DOING!"

IF WE CLAIM THAT SATAN IS OUR ENEMY, THEN HE IS OUR ADVERSARY!
IF THEN, SATAN IS OUR ADVERSARY, THIS MEANS THAT WE ARE DOING THINGS THAT DO NOT RESEMBLE HIS CHARACTER!

"OUR ACTIONS MUST BE CONTRARY TO HIS!"

Evildoer means;
'Someone who willingly practices lawlessness..."

"DO NOT BE DECEIVED!"
"RECITING A PRAYER, DOES NOT SAVE ANYONE!"
"BUT TURNING FROM OUR WICKED WAYS & DOING THE FATHER'S WILL DOES!"

Isaiah 55:6-8

"Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.
Let the Wicked forsake their ways and the Unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and He will have mercy on them, and to our God, for He will Freely Pardon.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord."

"HE WILL FREELY PARDON!"

Your view of your situation is not God's view!

What you may view as a horrible act you committed!
God views as a horrible act that He desires to forgive you for!
All you have to do is turn from your ways & begin to follow His!

What you may think is the end-result of your life!
God views as the beginning!
All you have to do is put on His Thinking Cap & release yours!

"GOD IS NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH!"

"HE WILL FREELY PARDON, WHEN WE TRULY TURN!"

"HE AWAITS YOU!"

I stopped running a long time ago & I'm glad I did!
How about you?

Isaiah 51:1-8

"“Listen to Me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the Lord:
Look to the rock from which you were cut and to the quarry from which you were hewn;
look to Abraham, your father, and to Sarah, who gave you birth. When I called him he was only one man, and I blessed him and made him many.
The Lord will surely comfort Zion and will look with compassion on all her ruins; He will ...make her deserts like Eden, her wastelands like the garden of the Lord. Joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the sound of singing.
“Listen to Me, My people; hear Me, my nation: Instruction will go out from Me; My justice will become a light to the nations.
My righteousness draws near speedily, My salvation is on the way, and My arm will bring justice to the nations. The islands will look to Me and wait in hope for My arm.
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath; the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies. But My salvation will last forever, My righteousness will never fail.
“Hear Me, you who know what is right, you people who have taken my instruction to heart: Do not fear the reproach of mere mortals or be terrified by their insults.
For the moth will eat them up like a garment; the worm will devour them like wool. But My righteousness will last forever, My salvation through all generations.”"

How long will you wait?

So Joshua said to the Israelites: "How long will you wait before you begin to take possession of the land that the LORD, the God of your ancestors, has given you? Joshua 18:3

The people had been promised land by God and all had received it, except seven tribes (or families) you see something was required of them first. They were to survey the land (check it out and see what they wanted) then write a description of it (have some goals that line up with God's goals) then they were to present it to The Lord (pray about it so they have confirmation it's what God wanted for them) and finally, they were to take possession it! They were not to sit around waiting and wondering, they were to do something about it. They were to follow God's plans while trusting Him it would all turn out for the best. Many of the promises of God came through struggle, hardship, and heartache.

God has promised us peace, joy, love, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self control.

So what are you waiting for? Go and take possession of that which God has promised you

Isaiah 46:3-4

"Listen to me, you descendants of Jacob, all the remnant of the people of Israel, you whom I have upheld since your birth, and have carried since you were born.
Even to your old age and gray hairs
I am He, I am He who will sustain you.
I have made you and I will carry you;
I will sustain you and I will rescue you."

Isn't it good to know that:
"IN OUR WEAKEST MOMENTS, GOD IS STRONGEST!"

God's promise to 'CARRY!'
God's promise to 'SUSTAIN!'
God's promise to 'RESCUE!'
Are only fulfilled in our deepest moments of desperation & then become part of our most cherished memories!

With this I want to encourage you:
"DON'T RUN FROM YOUR TRIALS!"
"INSTEAD, FACE THEM!"
"THEN, WHEN EVERYTHING SEEMS AS THOUGH IT WILL ALL COME CRASHING DOWN ON YOU!"
"WATCH THE LORD COME TO YOUR RESCUE!"
"YOU WILL SOON REALIZE THAT THE LORD HAS CARRIED YOU!"

Isaiah 42:1-9

"“Here is my servant, whom I uphold, My chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on Him, and He will bring justice to the nations.
He will not shout or cry out, or raise his voice in the streets.
A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out.
In faithfulness He will bring forth justice; He will not falter or be discouraged till He establishes justice on earth. In His teaching the islands will put their hope.”

This is what God the Lord says— the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out, who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it:
“I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles,
to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.
“I am the Lord; that is my name! I will not yield my glory to another or my praise to idols.
See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare; before they spring into being I announce them to you.”"

"GOD HAS ISSUED HIS CALLING FOR HIS PEOPLE!"

"WHAT WILL YOUR RESPONSE BE?"

"WILL YOU ANSWER HIS CALL, OR IGNORE IT?"

Isaiah 41:13

"For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you."

This may be one God's most obvious promise's to all believers!
But let us remember that:
"The promise was given with the intent of it be taken!"

"WE MUST TAKE HOLD OF HIS PROMISES, JUST AS HE TAKES HOLD OF US!"

"GOD ONLY GIVES WHAT HE DESIRES FOR US TO RECEIVE!"

"HE HAS GIVEN US HIS PROMISES!"

"THEREFORE, HE EXPECTS US TO RECEIVE THEM BY FAITH!"

"For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you."

You may have had identity theft and not even known it...

SPIRITUAL...

Did you know God often gave people new names? It's true. Just to name a few, Abram was to be called Abraham, Jacob was to be called Israel, and Simon was to be called Peter. When we come to Christ we are no longer the same person. God gives us a new heart and a new identity. Satan wants you to think of yourself as something your not, he wants to steal your identity from you. Maybe in the past or even today you've identified yourself by one or more of these names...

No good
Condemned
Broken
Hated
Stupid

In Christ however, God has a new identity for you, and a new name for you. Don't let identity theft happen to you. Take back the name God gives you!

God calls you...

A New person
Highly favored
Redeemed
Creative
Talented
Changed
Brave
Wise
Saved
Loved
Forgiven
Accepted
Child of the One True King

When Satan starts whispering those lies in your ear just say to him, you are a liar, God has given me a new identity and that's what I'm going to believe and that's who I am going to be.

Ephesians 6:10-12

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."

"People are not your problem!"
Your problem is that you think:
"People are your problem!"

"As long as you remain in this frame of mind, you will never truly be free!"
"God has such great plans for your life!"
"But the carnal mind will never accomplish a spiritual goal!"

"PEOPLE ARE NOT OUR PROBLEM!"
"THEY ARE OUR MISSION!"

Viewing people through carnal eyes will only expose the obvious!
"THEY ARE NOT PERFECT!"

Yet because of such imperfection the enemy, who is unseen, can so easily:
"Deceive them, mistreat them & use them to mistreat others!"

Therefore, do not let the enemy use them against you any longer!
"PUT ON YOUR SPIRITUAL THINKING CAP & FIGURE OUT WAYS TO VIEW THEM THROUGH GOD EYE'S!" (Read your Bible!)

Remember;
"As long as the anchor is cast into the water, the ship will never set sail!"
"DON'T LET SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS BE YOUR ANCHOR ANY LONGER!"
"FULFILLING GOD'S PLAN REQUIRES MOVING FORWARD!"

Isaiah 13:9-13

"See, the day of the Lord is coming —a cruel day, with wrath and fierce anger— to make the land desolate and destroy the sinners within it.
The stars of heaven and their constellations will not show their light. The rising sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light.
I will punish the world for its evil, the wicked for their sins. I will put an end to the arrogance of the haughty and will humble the pride of the ruthless.
I will make people scarcer than pure gold, more rare than the gold of Ophir.
Therefore I will make the heavens tremble; and the earth will shake from its place at the wrath of the Lord Almighty, in the day of His burning anger."

"JUDGEMENT DAY IS COMING!"

"JESUS CAME TO SATISFY GOD'S WRATH AGAINST MANKIND DUE TO SIN!"
"HE PAID THE ULTIMATE PENALTY FOR SIN!"
"HE DIED ONCE FOR ALL!"
"HE SUFFERED THE PUNISHMENT OF YESTERDAY'S SIN, TODAY'S SIN & TOMORROW'S!"
"HE DID ALL THIS SO THAT WE WOULD HAVE A SECOND CHANCE TO SPEND ETERNITY IN THE FATHER'S LOVE, NOT HIS WRATH!"

But there is one thing we must do in order to escape the wrath to come!
John 3:16-18 says,
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son."

"WE MUST BELIEVE IN GOD'S GREAT LOVE & JESUS' ULTIMATE SACRIFICE!"

"DO YOU BELIEVE?"

Matthew 28:18-20

Then Jesus came to them and said,
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

"GO!"
"MAKE!"
"BAPTIZE!"
"TEACH!"

Basically, Jesus was instructing us to "DO" exactly what we were designed to do!

"We were created with one specific purpose!"
"Therefore, let us continue in God's Great Design!"
"Never give up!"
"Never relent!"
"Above all, never hold back because someone out there needs to hear the Message of Hope!"

Enjoy Your Day Soldiers!

Isaiah 11:1-10

A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—
and He will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what He sees with his eyes, or decide by what He hears with His ears;
but with righteousness He will judge the needy, with justice He will give decisions for the poor of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth; with the breath of His lips He will slay the wicked.
Righteousness will be His belt and faithfulness the sash around His waist.
The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.
The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
The infant will play near the cobra’s den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest.
They will neither harm nor destroy on all My holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to Him, and His resting place will be glorious."

"JESUS CHRIST, GLORIOUS IN ALL HIS SPLENDOR!"
"I LOVE YOU JESUS!"

MAY EVERYONE ENJOY THEIR DAY!

Isaiah 7:9b

"If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all."

Our faith must be rooted & grounded in Jesus Christ, the Son of God!
In order to stand on the truth, we must first know The Truth!

"Jesus is the Way, the Truth & the Life!"
"Seeking these things anywhere else will always prove unfruitful!"

"IF YOU DO NOT STAND FIRM IN YOUR FAITH, YOU WILL NOT STAND AT ALL!"

Isaiah 49:24-26

"Can plunder be taken from warriors, or captives be rescued from the fierce?
But this is what the Lord says:
“Yes, captives will be taken from warriors, and plunder retrieved from the fierce; I will contend with those who contend with you, and your children I will save.
I will make your oppressors eat their own flesh; they will be drunk on their own blood, as with wine.
Then all mankind will know that I, the Lord, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”"

"GOD IS ALMIGHTY!"
Why are you fearful?

"GOD IS IN CONTROL!"
Why are you concerned about the outcome of your situation?

"GOD WILL HAVE THE LAST WORD!"
Why do you hang on to every word that your adversary blurts out?

"MERE MORTALS, EVEN THE DEVIL HIMSELF CAN NOT OVER-POWER YOU WHEN CHRIST IS YOUR HEAD!"

"ALTHOUGH AT TIMES IT MAY SEEM AS IF YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES ARE PULLING YOU DOWN, IF YOU ALLOW CHRIST CONTROL OVER YOUR SITUATION, YOU WILL SOON REALIZE THAT YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES ARE ACTUALLY SERVING AS A CATAPULT TO THRUST YOU FORWARD!"

"WHAT THE ENEMY INTENDS FOR EVIL, GOD INTENDS FOR GOOD!"

"TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!"
