1 Chronicles 16: 36

"May Yahweh, the God of Israel, be praised from everlasting to everlasting.' Then all the people said, 'Amen,' and 'Praise the Lord." ~ (1 Chronicles 16: 36)

How many of us holler out Amen without valuing the significance of the word? May our Amens be used carefully and with conviction. Amen.

2 Timothy 2: 15

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who doesn't need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth." ~  (2 Timothy 2: 15)

Father, we pray for diligence. Help us to understand that no good will come our way without top effort. Amen.

2 Corinthians 8: 7

"Now as you excel in everything - faith, speech, knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love - excel also in grace." ~ (2 Corinthians 8: 7)

DILIGENT - characterized by steady, earnest, and energetic effort.

Proverbs 11: 17

Lord, You are worthy of our best. May we be diligent in all You have for us to do. Amen.

Matthew 7: 21

"Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven." ~ (Matthew 7: 21)

 

 

Let us recognize that the Lord Jesus is not looking for people who simply call Him Lord, but for those who live as if He is their Lord. Amen.

LORD - a ruler by hereditary right or preeminence to whom service and obedience are due.

2 Corinthians 4: 5

"For what we proclaim is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as servants for Jesus' sake." ~ (2 Corinthians 4: 5)

If You are truly our Lord, Lord, may our lives be dedicated in service to You. Amen.

There are over 3,500 promises in the Bible, a large portion of which mean nothing without our choice to be obedient. May we choose God's way and be blessed today. Amen.

"IF you live according to the flesh, you are going to die. But IF by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live." ~ (Romans 8: 31)

IF - on the condition that.

John 15: 14

"You are My friends IF you do what I command you." ~ (John 15: 14)

Lord, may we not lose sight of the fact that a great many of Your promises are conditional upon our response. Amen.

Deuteronomy 8: 3

"He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you not your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord." ~ (Deuteronomy 8: 3)

Family of God..... EAT FIRST! Amen.

 FOOD - something that nourishes, sustains, or supplies. 

1 Corinthians 10: 31

"So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." ~ (1 Corinthians 10: 31)

May we eat first of the spiritual food You provide us, knowing You will meet all of our natural needs. Amen. 

Leviticus 16: 30

"Atonement will be made for you on this day to cleanse you, and you will be clean from all your sins before the Lord." ~ (Leviticus 16: 30)

Father, we acknowledge that there is no way to atone for our sins and accept that the price was paid by the blood of Your Son Jesus. Amen.
