A New Song

O LORD, do not forsake me; be not far from me, O my God.
~ Psalm 38:21 ~

The Author of this Psalm was obviously suffering as he goes on crying out to God for two more chapters by saying things like "My heart pounds, my strength fails me; even the light has gone from my eyes. I am about to fall, and my pain is ever with me" Sometimes God allows us to go through things to bring perseverance, character, and hope, and to bring us nearer to Himself so we can see our dependence on Him, and completely surrender to Him. He is always right there with us though, He never leaves us to go through it alone, and then, God delivers us from our suffering, restores us and makes us steadfast and strong so that people will know he is God and will praise Him. We see evidence of this later in the Psalms when the author says, "I waited patiently for the Lord; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord. Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust..." Are you hurting? Cry out to God today, he wants to restore you, He wants to deliver you, but you must cry, and trust Him with all you heart. Cry out to Him right now, continue to do it until you are set free, and praise the Lord Jesus Christ as He fills you with a new song.

How to Witness to someone who says God is cruel for sending people to Hell.

Heaven is not for good people it is for forgiven people. So let's get over the notion that God is so cruel in sending people to hell. God poured out His wrath on His own dear Son so we wouldn't have to go to hell. The last thing God wants is for anyone to perish. But if we are bound and determined to reject His offer of forgiveness, then it is really on us. The Bible tells us that God "does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent" (2 Peter 3:9). ~ Greg Laurie ~

How to Woo Your Wife

The LORD will save me, and we will sing with stringed instruments
all the days of our lives in the temple of the LORD. ...Isaiah 38:20

We are the temple of the Lord and according to Romans 12:1 we are to offer our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is our spiritual act of worship. What does this have to do with wooing my wife you might ask? Everything! Let me explain, if a man trys to serenade a woman with a guitar it can be a beautiful thing but no matter how good the man plays if the guitar is out of tune the end result is not pleasing, it is an unpleasant sound, and turns the woman away. However, if the guitar is in tune and the man plays the notes according to how they were written there is nothing more beautiful as it draws the woman in, is pleasing to her senses, and speaks to her heart. Men, God wants to use you as the instrument of His choice to serenade your wife, He wants to woo her, and speak to her heart. But no matter how good the song choice if you are out of tune the notes are not pleasing. To be in tune means to act justly, love mercy, walk humbly with your God, it means never speaking harshly to your wife, it means being patient, kind, forgiving, it means listening, it means having the heart of a servant, it means making every effort to keep the bonds of peace though the unity of the Spirit, being led by the Spirit.  When we as God's instruments are in tune a beautiful melody will result, wooing our wives, drawing them near, and speaking to their hearts as they see and feel the love of God. When we are in tune we might still play a wrong note occasionally but they won't even notice as they are being enticed by the overall melody, when we are out of tune however, even the right notes are sour. Even our best efforts are like filthy rags when we are out of tune with God's will. Let's humble ourselves before the Lord, get in tune, and allow God to use use us to serenade our wives as we sing with stringed instruments in the Temple of the Lord, all the days of our lives.

He grants authority, for He alone has it to give

Men  &  Authority
-Gen.1:27-28 This is the first time God speaks to man(Adam & Eve) placing him in authority over every living thing that moves on the earth....
1 Cor. 15:45- Jesus Christ is the perfect model of biblical manhood....walk in humility, takes responsibility, strength in silence.....
Living out a balance of submission and authority looks like character built through suffering!!
Voice of Sovereignty
The God of Scripture is absolute Sovereign. Such is His own claim: "This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations. For the Lord of hosts has purposed, and who shall disannul it? and His hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?" (Isaiah 14:26, 27). The Sovereignty of God is absolute and irresistible: "All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and He doeth according to His will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay His hand, or say unto Him, What doest Thou?" (Daniel 4:35). The Sovereignty of God is true not only hypothetically, but in fact. That is to say, God exercises His sovereignty, exercises it both in the natural realm, and in the spiritual. One is born black, another white. One is born in wealth, another in poverty. One is born with a healthy body, another sickly and crippled. One is cut off in childhood, another lives to old age. One is endowed with five talents, another with but one. And in all these cases it is God the Creator who makes one to differ from another, and "none can stay His hand." So also is it in the spiritual realm. One is born in a pious home and is brought up in the fear and abomination of the Lord; another is born of criminal parents and is reared in vice. One is the object of many prayers, the other is not prayed for at all. One hears the Gospel from early childhood, another never hears it. One sits under a Scriptural ministry, another hears nothing but error and heresy. Of those who do hear the Gospel, one has his heart opened by the Lord to receive the truth, while another is left to himself. One is "ordained to eternal life" (Acts 13:48), while another is "ordained to condemnation" (Jude 4). To whom He will God shows mercy, and whom he wills He "hardens" (Romans 9:18).

Get this!! Get Fruit!!

Back to the Basics: the Gospel (the Good News)

Basic (of, at, or forming a base; fundumental; essential..)
What is the Gospel?
(redemption of man through Jesus as Christ)

1:1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, 2 which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures, 3 concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh 4 and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord, 5 through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations, 6 including you who are called to belong to Jesus Christ,

The Gospel...

The just and gracious God of the universe looked upon hopelessly sinful people and sent His Son, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, to bear His wrath against sin on the cross and to show His power over sin in the resurrection so that all who have faith in Him will be reconciled to God forever.

Spreading the Gospel

Huber, the great naturalist, tells us that if a single wasp discovers a deposit of honey or other food, he will return to his nest and impart the good news to his companions, who will sally forth in great numbers to partake of the fare which has been discovered for them.

Shall we who have found honey in the rock Christ Jesus be less considerate of our fellow-men than wasps are of their fellow-insects? Ought we not rather, like the Samaritan woman, hasten to tell the good news? Common humanity should prevent all of us from concealing the great discovery which grace has enabled us to make.

—Gospel Extracts by D.L Moody

I. The Explanation: Why?

A. All have sinned (Rom.3:23)

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

B. The penalty for sin is death (Rom. 6:23)

23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

C. Christ paid the penalty for our sin (Rom. 5:8)

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

II. The Invitation to Respond: Turn and Believe to believers and non-believers

A. Petition from Christ himself (Matt. 11:28-30)

28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

B.The gift of Sonship to non-believers (Jn. 1:12)

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

C.Sight to professing believers stuck in Spiritual blindness (Rev. 3:20)

20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

D.Willfully, make a conscious decision to forsake one's sin (Acts 2:37-38)

37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
III.The Promise of Forgiveness and Eternal Life
A.Personal Repentance and Faith (Jn. 3:16)
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
B. Repentance grants a clean slate (Acts 3:19)
19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
C.Gauranteed Acceptance (Jn.6:37)
37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
Conclusion: This powerful act of God is often referred to as effective calling, to distinguish it from the general gospel invitation that goes to all people and which some people reject. In fact, God's effective calling comes through the human preaching of the gospel, because Paul says, 'To this he called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ" (2 Thess. 2:14). Of course, there are many who hear the general call of the gospel message and do not respond. But in some cases the gospel call is made so effective by the working of the Holy Spirit in people's hearts that they do respond in saving faith.

We Should live in Repentance!!!

Men and Repentance

REAL MEN REPENT
Acts 17:22-31

God calls all mankind to repent.

So Paul, standing in the midst of the Areopagus, said: “Men of Athens, I perceive that in every way you are very religious. 23 For as I passed along and observed the objects of your worship, I found also an altar with this inscription, ‘To the unknown god.’ What therefore you worship as unknown, this I proclaim to you. 24 The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, 25 nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything. 26 And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, 27 that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, 28 for “‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “‘For we are indeed his offspring.’ 29 Being then God's offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man. 30 The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, 31 because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.”

It's not just what we do it's who we are!

Eccl.7:20 there is none that are good! Real men know themselves and are honest with themselves. That we are the problem with our world. We are the worst sinners we know.
We have to come to grips with the wickedness of our own hearts.
Phil.3 we put no confidence in our flesh.
Real men come to grips with who we are, sinful Men who desperately need God's forgiveness daily. Because they have come to grips with who GOD really is.

GOD IS.....
He is creator, HE needs nothing- self - sufficient, HE is sustainer, HE holds everything together all life ! HE is holy, high ,and exalted, HE is not my homeboy!!We take the life He gives and turn worship from Him to ourselves, He will not let the guilty go unpunished. Those not found in Him will face his judgement. HE knows your heart the dark places! Grace is available, Now is the time do not harden your heart!

Repent because that's what real men do, they are aware of there need to repent and they know Christ  to be a Savior.
Repentance is not regret, being sorry for getting caught.
Repentance is saying," I have sinned against God I have offended the Holy and Righteous God!" No matter if anyone sees me, I still need to repent because God sees me.
It is the admission of guilt and the cry for mercy! Isaiah 55 call on him to turn to Him, seek Him while He may be found!
You cannot out sin the grace of God!
REPENT

Why I love Jesus but reject Islam

Keep in mind we as Christians are commanded to love all people, our goal should be to bring as many people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as possible. It is not that we are right and they are wrong, it is that the Holy Bible is truth & God's infallible word that proclaims Jesus is both Lord and Christ. This video is not meant to bash Islam or any other group, it is designed to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a group of people that are lost as you and I once were! Let this move you and me in love to share the Gospel and be an example in speech, life, love, faith , and purity.

"...God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Christ and Lord." ~ Acts 2:36 ~

As Christ, Jesus freely offers eternal salvation and forgiveness of sin. As Lord, Jesus commands and deserves obedience, praise, and worship. Jesus said, "Repent and Believe in the Gospel" To repent is to turn the opposite direction from the sin in your life, and to believe in the Gospel means you believe  the Word of God as truth, and because you believe it as truth, you must act accordingly. One cannot receive the free gift of salvation and not accept Jesus as Lord of their life. Jesus said, "If you love me, obey me" If you are not trusting Jesus as Lord of your life, submitting to His will and His way of life, chances are you haven't received Him as Christ, no matter how much your emotions tell you otherwise.
Many, on that that will say Lord, Lord, and He will say, "I never knew you"

MY CONFESSION

As God draws me nearer to Himself I begin to realize more and more how wretched I am, how even my efforts to please Him become idolatry when I, in my small thinking dare to say I am adding something of value to His kingdom. God is so Holy, separate, and different from me, I forget there is nothing I can offer that He needs. He created me to Worship Him, and yet most of the time my thoughts thoughts are on myself. He is revealing His Holy nature to me a little at a time and showing me (as much as I can handle at one time) how He loves me, in spite of me!... and, how He saved me, from Himself (His wrath) and for Himself (to Worship) and by Himself (in Christ). I am so unworthy of His great love and yet He loves me anyway. He loves me the same when I am preaching and teaching as He did when I was His enemy and in my heart hated Him, there is nothing I can do to make Him love me more or love me less. Why would I let anything replace the joy that comes from His love, yet I do. Joy should not come from my success in trying to please Him or what I "I think" I can do for Him, it should come from what He has already, done for me, through His Son Jesus Christ, and yet, I so often let circumstances rule my heart. O' what a pitiful wretched man I am. I mimic words from scripture but they are no less true in my heart, "who shall save me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through our Lord Jesus Christ"

Put Your Feet in His Shoes

1. The Word Of  Forgiveness

"Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do"

Luke 23:34

MAN HAD DONE HIS WORST. The one by whom the world was made had come into it, but the world knew him not. The Lord of glory had tabernacled among men, but he was not wanted. The eyes which sin had blinded saw in him no beauty that he should be desired. At his birth there was no room in the inn, which foreshadowed the treatment he was to receive at the hands of men. Shortly after his birth Herod sought to slay him, and this intimated the hostility his person evoked and forecast the cross as the climax of man’s enmity. Again and again, his enemies attempted his destruction. And now their vile desires are granted them. The Son of God had yielded himself up into their hands. A mock trial had been gone through, and though his judges found no fault in him, nevertheless, they had yielded to the scream and shouts of those who hated him as they cried again and again "Crucify him".

The failed deed had been done. No ordinary death would suffice his foes. A death of intense suffering and shame was decided upon. A cross had been secured: the Saviour had been nailed to it. And there he hangs - silent. But presently, his lips seen to move – is he crying for pity? No. What then? Is he pronouncing curses upon his crucifiers? No. He is praying, praying for his enemies - "Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them: for they know not what they do"

This first of the seven cross-sayings of our Lord presents him in the attitude of prayer. How significant! How instructive! His public ministry had opened with prayer (Luke 3:21), and here we see it closing in prayer. Surely he has left us an example! No longer might those hands minister to the sick, for they are nailed to the cross; no longer may those feet carry him on errands of mercy, for they are fastened to the cruel tree; no longer may he engage in instructing the apostles, for they have forsaken him and fled. How then does he occupy himself? In the ministry of prayer! What a lesson for us.In praying for his enemies not only did Christ set before us a perfect example of how we should treat those who wrong and hate us, but he also taught us never to regard any as beyond the reach of prayer. If Christ prayed for his murderers then surely we have encouragement to pray now for the very chief of sinners!

One other thought concerning this prayer of Christ. We are shown here the efficacy of prayer. This cross-intercession of Christ for his enemies met with a marked and definite answer. The answer is seen in the conversion of the three thousand souls on the day of Pentecost. I base this conclusion on Peter's statement in Acts, "And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers." It is to be noted that Peter used the word "ignorance" which corresponds with our Lord’s "they know not what they do". Here then is the divine explanation of the 3,000 converted under a single sermon. It was not Peter’s eloquence which was the cause but the Saviour’s prayer. And, Christian reader, the same is true of us. Christ prayed for you and me long before we believed in him. Turn to John 17:20 for proof. "Neither pray I for these (the apostles) alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word" (John 17:20). Our Lord was a High Priest and-as such-He was required to make an offering for the sin of His people and also to intercede for them- that's what the High Priest did on the Day of Atonement this was the true Day of Attonement, and our High Priest is doing His job.The sacrifice He offers to God for us is Himself. After doing that, He prays for us, that God would accept the sacrifice and give us the Blessings that flow from it-the 1st of which is...Forgiveness. Once more let us profit from the perfect exemplar. Let us too make intercession for the enemies of God, and if we pray in faith we also shall pray effectively unto the salvation of lost sinners.
"Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."
How sad to think this terrible tragedy is still being repeated! Sinner, you little know what you are doing in neglecting God’s great salvation. You little know how awful is the sin of slighting the Christ of God and spurning the invitations of his mercy. You little know the deep guilt which is attached to your act of refusing to receive the only one who can save you from your sins. You little know how fearful is the crime of saying, "We will not have this man to reign over us". You know not what you do. You regard the vital issue with callous indifference. The question comes today as it did of old, "What shall I do with Jesus which is called Christ?" For you have to do something with him: either you despise and reject him, or you receive him as the Saviour of your soul and the Lord of your life. But, I say again, it seems to you a matter of small moment, of little importance, which you do. For years you have resisted the strivings of his Spirit. For years you have shelved the all-important consideration. For years you have steeled your heart against him, closed your ears to his appeals, and shut your eyes to his surpassing beauty. Ah! you know not WHAT you do. You are blind to your madness. Blind to your terrible sin. Yet are yov not excuseless? You may be saved now if you will. "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved." 0 come to the Saviour now and say with one of old, "Lord, that I might receive my sight."

"Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do."

Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are not gods. But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and miserable principles? Do you wish to be enslaved by them all over again?  Galatians 4:8-9
I used to believe in superstition. I used to worry about bad luck if I broke a mirror, or something bad happening when I walked under a ladder, and lets not forget Friday the 13th, just to name a few.  When I became a child of God though He started teaching me things in His Word (the Bible) and the Bible tells me not to believe in superstition as it is of Satan. So I stopped believing in superstition and starting believing God. I was set free from the fear of superstition. If I start to worry again about superstitious things I am no better of than I was in the beginning and am enslaved by them all over again. What good is that? The Bible tells us when Jesus sets you free, you are free indeed. So ask yourself  "is there anything in my life that Jesus has set me free from that I am now allowing to creep back into my life?" If so confess it to God, turn from it, and walk in freedom, as in Christ you are set free from bondage of ever kind. "...if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed"
