2 Corinthians 5:7
"For we walk by faith, not by sight."
"DON'T BE RELIGIOUS!" "INSTEAD, BE DEVOTED!"
Christ came to accomplish something that no one ever could;
"THE PERFECT LAW OF GOD!"
Christ fulfilled every requirement concerning the law with one purpose in mind;
"SO THAT THOSE WHO PUT THEIR TRUST IN HIM COULD ENJOY THE BENEFITS OF HIS ACCOMPLISHMENT!"
Therefore, your life should not revolve around some set of rules to make you holy because in Christ, YOU ARE ALREADY MADE HOLY!
How are you made holy?
"THROUGH YOUR FAITH IN CHRIST!"
Now, let's make something VERY CLEAR!
"FAITH COMMANDS A WALK & A WALK DEMANDS COMMITTMENT!"
This is where "DEVOTION" comes into play.
The heart must be devoted in order to remain committed to Christ!
WITHOUT DEVOTION, THERE IS NO RELATIONSHIP!
WITHOUT RELATIONSHIP, THERE IS NO LORDSHIP!
WITHOUT LORDSHIP, THERE IS NO SALVATION!
WITHOUT SALVATION, THERE ARE NO BENEFITS TO ENJOY!
I will say it again:
The heart must be devoted in order to remain committed to Christ!
"DON'T BE RELIGIOUS!" "INSTEAD, BE DEVOTED!"
God does not concern Himself so much with your external gestures, as much as He does with your inward motives!
"THE PURPOSE OF THE LAW WAS TO EXPOSE MAN'S FLAWS!"
"THE PURPOSE OF CHRIST IS TO RECONCILE MAN TO GOD!"
