Selfishness, Passions, & Pleasures.

"But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth"  James:3:14 

 

Don't brag about selfish ambition but at the same time don't just supress it either...
Confess it to the Lord and Repent

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. James 4:3

say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions... and             we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. ... Titus 2:12

 

ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. ... because        you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. ... James 4:3
