War!

Numbers 21:14a

"Therefore it is said in the Book of the Wars of the Lord..."

"IT IS THE LORD WHO FIGHT OUR BATTLES!"

"IT IS THE LORD WHO GRANTS US THE VICTORY!"

These accounts have been written to remind us.

They have been recorded to encourage us.

They have been preserved for our confidence.

"THE BOOK OF THE WARS OF THE LORD!"

He bears the battles scars.

He made the sacrifice.

He poured out His blood.

"HE BEARS THE MARKINGS!"

"HE HAS FOUGHT THE BATTLES!"

"HE HAS WON THE VICTORIES!"

"HE ALONE IS TRIUMPHANT!"

These words were written to remind the Israelites that the Lord fought the battles for them.

That they gained the victory by placing their trust in Him.

The same is true for us.

"JESUS FOUGHT THE ULTIMATE BATTLE AGAINST SIN FOR US!"

"HE DEFEATED SIN & DEATH WHEN HE ROSE FROM THE GRAVE!"

"WE, WHO HAVE PLACED OUR TRUST IN HIM, HAVE THE BLESSED ASSURANCE OF VICTORY & ETERNAL LIFE!"

"NOT BECAUSE OF WHAT WE DO!"

But we are constantly reminded through His Word that:

"IT IS BY WHAT HE DID ON THE CROSS FOR US!"

Today, I want to encourage you to:

"REMIND YOURSELF THAT THE LORD FIGHTS FOR YOU!"

"YOU NEED ONLY TRUST HIM FOR THE OUTCOME!"
