Refuge!

Proverbs 30:5
"Every word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him."

"YES!"
"GOD IS A SHIELD!"
"BUT THERE IS A CATCH!"

"YOU MUST TAKE REFUGE IN HIM!"
"IT HAS TO BE A CONSCIOUS DECISION ON YOUR PART TO TAKE THE INITIATIVE & TRUST HIM!"

Question:
If you are crossing the street & suddenly see a car headed in your direction,
Are you going to hope that you don't get hit?
Or are you going to take the initiative of moving out the way?

If this has occurred in your lifetime & you are reading this passage today,
More than likely, you took the initiative to move out the way.
Or you probably would not be around to be reading this!

"GOD HAS DONE HIS PART BY SENDING HIS SON JESUS TO OFFER US LIFE IN ABUNDANCE!"
"BUT IT IS UP TO US WHAT WE DO FROM THERE!"

"WE MUST TAKE THE INITIATIVE & TRUST IN HIS SOVEREIGN WORD!"
"FOR REFUGE, COMFORT, SOLACE, STRENGTH, JOY & PEACE!"

"YOU CAN RUN THE WORLD SEEKING THESE THINGS!"
"BUT YOU WILL ALWAYS END UP AT THE FEET OF JESUS!"
