Which came first?Chicken or Egg??

This is an age old question that ancient philophers have grappled with.  The world likes to use logic to extrapolate arguments that can be very compeling. We have heard the agurments which are "How could the egg come first if there is no chicken to sit on it to hatch it." On the other hand, "How could a chicken be born without the egg?"

As believers,  when we start to use logic to define God, we can run into trouble very easily. While I am not saying that we cannot use logic, the point is that God defies logic! What logic is involved when the children of Israel lived in the desert for 40 years or how about when Jesus walked on water? God is greater than logic!

So to answer the orginal question, it is quite simple. God came first! Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Isaiah 42:5 "This is what God the LORD says--he who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and all that comes out of it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it:"

So God came first and then He created the chicken. Genesis 1:20 "And God said, “Let the water teem with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the vault of the sky.” 21 So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the water in the seas, and let the birds increase on the earth.”

Mystery solved! Be the like bereans, who searched the scripture daily to solve life's mysteries.

God Bless you and yours!
