Matthew 21:28-31a
“But what do you think? A man had two sons, and he came to the first and said, ‘Son, go work today in the vineyard.’ And he answered, ‘I will not’; but afterward he regretted it and went. The man came to the second and said the same thing; and he answered, ‘I will, sir’; but he did not go. Which of the two did the will of his father?” They *said, “The first.”
ACCOUNTABILITY: The fact or condition of being accountable. One's responsibility.
IT IS NOT THE SAME TO 'SAY' AS IT IS TO 'DO!'
IT IS NOT SO MUCH WHAT WE 'COMMIT TO' BUT WHETHER OR NOT WE 'FULFILL THAT COMMITMENT!'
"INTEGRITY WILL ALWAYS LEAD TOWARD FULFILLMENT!"
"GOD SET OUT TO CREATE THIS WORLD & DID NOT STOP UNTIL HE HAD COMPLETED HIS CREATION!"
"JESUS MADE A VOW TO HIS FATHER THAT HE WOULD STAND IN THE GAP FOR HUMANITY & HE FULFILLED HIS COMMITMENT EVEN WHEN IT MEANT DEATH ON THE CROSS!"
How could Jesus keep such commitment at the cost of His life?
"BECAUSE HE KNEW WHAT WAS AT STAKE!"
"THIS WORLD NEEDS SALVATION!"
"BUT THEY DON'T KNOW IT!"
"WE, AS CHRISTIANS, ARE NOT GOING TO EXPRESS THE LOVE OF CHRIST WITH OUR WORDS AS MUCH AS WE WILL WITH OUR ACTIONS!"
