2 Samuel 7: 28 GRACE

"Lord God, You are God; Your words are true, and You have promised this grace to Your servant." ~ (2 Samuel 7: 28)

 

GRACE - 1. unmerited divine assistance given humans for their regeneration or sanctification. 2. a virtue coming from God.

He will keep you!

Colossians 2:6
"Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him"

Our sin is great Father, but Your grace is greater. We humbly accept Your free gift and the responsibilities that come with it. Amen.

Friendly Reminder!

Hebrews 12:3
"Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart."

I just sense that someone out there has forgotten what Jesus went through.
Maybe your situation is tough.
Indeed, you have been getting bombarded from every side.

But this morning, I want to encourage you with a simple reminder;
"DO NOT LOSE HEART!"
"HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU!!!"

Jesus, during His earthly ministry suffered so much opposition unjustly.
He was rejected by His own creation.
Left to die before a spectating crowd.
A band of mockers hurled insults at Him.
The worse part is that He was left alone & even forsaken by God, the Father.

But I want to remind you that in spite of all this;
"THE CROSS WAS JESUS' PASSION!"
"IT WAS THE REASON HE GAVE UP HIS THRONE IN HEAVEN!"
"IT WAS THE REASON HE BECAME MAN!"
"HE KNEW THAT OPPOSITION WOULD BE PART OF HIS JOURNEY!"
"ULTIMATELY, HE CONQUERED SIN & DEATH THROUGH HIS CROSS!"

Today, it would do you a great service if you understood that:
"A SERVANT IS NOT GREATER THAN HIS MASTER!"

If Jesus suffered opposition, so will you!
Take heart!
God has called you to fulfill a mission for His Kingdom's sake!

"HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU NOR FORSAKE YOU!!!"
"HE WILL BRING TO COMPLETION THAT WHICH HE BEGAN IN YOU!"

"THE END RESULT SHOULD ULTIMATELY BE OUR FOCUS!"
"BECAUSE THE TEMPORAL THINGS WILL SOON PASS!"

Ezekiel 18: 32

It was our sin Father, each and every one of us, that nailed Your Son to that cross. Praise Jesus for giving us another chance. Amen.

Believer or Follower?

REPENT - to feel or show that you are sorry for something bad or wrong that you did and that you want to do what is right.

Doing things that are contrary to Scripture cause harm & confusion on observers.
We are to share the Gospel, not promote our agendas.
Jesus did not say;
"Go into the world & proclaim your opinion."
Instead, He said;
"GO INTO THE WORLD & PREACH THE GOSPEL TO ALL CREATION!"

When we deviate from Scripture, whether with good intentions or not, it will never edify the Body of Christ, nor reach the world to which He sent us.
It will only feed the carnal mind & continue to build animosity toward God!

We lift up to You Father, our police, fire, corrections, military, and government authority figures, asking that You would watch over them, guide them, and keep them safe. Amen.

Dueteronomy 6: 14

"Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you." ~ (Dueteronomy 6: 14)

Whatever the idol, be it entertainment, tv, money, food, other people, ourselves, our job, a hobby.... if that god has been placed above You, convict our hearts and give us the courage to cast it aside in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Jesus made no issue about submitting His Humanity to His Father's Authority & Plan.
His reluctance had nothing to do with insubordination, but everything to do with example.

"JESUS DEMONSTRATED THAT HIS MAIN CONCERN WAS TO ACCOMPLISH HIS FATHER'S WILL!"

"THIS IS RECORDED WITH THE INTENT THAT HIS FOLLOWERS TAKE HEED!"

"LET US LEARN FROM JESUS' EXAMPLE!"

"LET US PLACE GOD'S WILL OVER OUR HUMAN WILL!"

"LET US DETERMINE IN OUR HEARTS THAT WE WILL ACCOMPLISH THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH WE WERE CREATED!!!"

"EVEN IF THIS MEANS GIVING UP OUR LIVE'S, REPUTATIONS, DREAMS, ETC.!"

"THE ETERNAL REWARD CARRIES MORE WEIGHT THAN ANYTHING WE CAN EVER ACCUMULATE HERE ON EARTH!"

Luke 1: 30 ROLE MODEL

"But the angel said to her, 'Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God."

ROLE MODEL - a person who serves as a model in a particular behavioral or social role for another person to emulate.

Genesis 6: 8

"But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord." ~ (Genesis 6: 8)

 

 

 

Thank You Lord for showing us role models in Your Word. Praise God, we can see Your favor in their lives and have examples for how to serve You. Amen.
