Ephesians 3:12

"In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence."

Who is this 'HIM' that is being spoken of?
Who grants us access into the heavenly realms?
Who is this passage speaking of?

He is the 'HIM' who is the 'I AM'.
Jesus is the Christ, the Savior of all humanity.
He made it possible for all to come before God with:
"FREEDOM & CONFIDENCE!"

"THROUGH FAITH IN HIM!"

"THEREFORE, PUT YOUR FAITH IN JESUS TODAY & ENJOY THE BLESSINGS OF ETERNITY!"

Isaiah 57:18-19

Ephesians 2:14

Telling someone about “THE LOVE OF CHRIST” and providing a means for them to experience that love are MILES APART.

Demonstrating to our communities that “CHRIST IS OUR PEACE” is applied on a case by case basis, a race by race basis and at times, a one on one basis.

It can be applied by going beyond our normal circumstances into the UNKNOWN.

Though we might be rejected for our skin color, speech, apparel or even ethnic background.

Ephesians 2:19-20

Ephesians 1:13

"And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit..."

"SALVATION IS NOT THE RESULT OF MERE WORDS OR CONFESSION!"
"IT IS THE INTIMATE BOUND THAT JOINS US TO OUR SAVIOR!"

Belief is no mere acknowledgment that Jesus is Messiah or Lord.
Belief entails accepting not only that the Gospel of Christ is True!
But that it is "TRUE FOR ME!"
In other words, Saved Ones live out in their experience the reality that "CHRIST IS LORD!"

How Far Would You Go?

How far would you go to win a soul to Christ? Would you wake up early to pass out tracts? Would you travel to the other side of the city to evangelize with a church group? Would you give money to a needy cause? Would you inconvenience yourself to help someone that is struggling? If you said yes, that's great! But here is a better question...Will you show patience, kindness, and mercy, day after day to that difficult co-worker in order that they may see the love of Christ? 

We often want to do grand things for God but truth be told He simple desires us to demonstrate love and holiness in our everyday lives. How could I ever think I would suffer for God if I'm not willing to demonstrate love to people right now where I am?

Love God...Love People.

Son of God in Theaters - February 28th.

Roma Downey commented on why Satan was left out of this film. She said with the Bible movie many people commented on the resemblance of Satan to our current president and it was all Satan needed to take peoples minds off of Jesus and onto himself. So they cast Satan out so the full focus would be on Jesus Christ. I don't know about you but I love that!

Three "Must Do's" for Today

 Peter tells us, “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, . . . a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light” 

As Christians our lives are not are own. We have died to self, crucified the pleasures of the flesh, we are a people belonging to God THAT WE MAY DECLARE THE PRAISE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST!

 Ours is a priesthood in which “every believer offers himself and his gifts in personal ministry to Christ and through Christ to others, both in the body of Christ and out of it” 

Will what you do and say today have lasting affects eternally? Don't allow what you do and say today to be forgotten and wasted, 

Three "Must Do's" for today that will have lasting affects. 

1. Praise The Lord by living a holy life, set apart for God

2. Use your spiritual gifts to edify and encourage the Saints

3. Use your spiritual gifts to help people outside the church body that they might see Jesus in you

"FOCUS ON JESUS CHRIST!"
"FOCUS ON YOUR SAVIOR!"

"ONE STEP AWAY!"
"YOU ARE ONE STEP AWAY FROM VICTORY!"

As Promised...Here it is...

Paul did not adapt to the "cultural" customs when preaching to various people groups so much as he followed their "religious" customs, as long as they were not in violation of God's laws. Paul would not dare break any laws of Christ in order to please any man, yet he did accommodate himself to all men, but he did it lawfully according to God's Laws, to gain some. So we cannot use this passage to fill the secret desires of our flesh and wear certain clothes or hats, we cannot use it to make excuses to go to the clubs, we cannot use this verse to listen to worldly music, and the list goes on. These things are not 'religious' in nature they are 'cultural'. Also Paul set aside any personal prejudices or opinions in order not to hinder the gospel message. We are not to look like, or be like, the culture around us, we are to look and act different. Being all things to all people was and is a reference to willingly giving up our Christian freedoms in order not to be a stumbling block to anyone. As an example; If someone feels they cannot eat meat on Friday and I am preaching to them on a Friday, even though I have freedom in Christ to eat meat on that day I would refrain from it so as not to put a divider between them and myself, in order that the gospel message might be heard. Christian freedom was not designed for our pleasure but for God's...therefore we get Romans 15:1-3 "We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up. For even Christ did not please himself..."

HOW DO YOU PRAY?

Colossians 1:9-14 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father...who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

How do you pray for your friends? Do you pray for a new house? A new car? A new job? To pass a test at work or school? We should pray concerning all things but let's look at Paul's prayer. 

Paul prays for his friends in this way...

1. He prayed a continuous intercessory prayer - I have NOT stopped praying for you

2. He prayed for knowledge, wisdom, and understanding - Praying FOR knowledge of God's will THROUGH wisdom and understanding 

3. He prayed with a spiritual purpose in mind - SO THAT you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way. 

4. He prayed for his friends to give as well as receive - BEARING fruit in every good work

5. He prayed for a continual filling not just a one time gift - GROWING in the knowledge of God

6. He prayed for spiritual strength, endurance, and patience while waiting and serving - being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience

7. He prayed that it wouldn't be burdensome but joyful as he prayed for a thankful heart to glorify God - and giving joyful thanks to the Father..

8. He prays for enlightenment of the heavenly things by reminding them what Christ did for us and who God is in His very nature and character. - who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light. For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,  in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

James 4:2-3 ...Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it. And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.
