Genesis 41:9b
"Today I am reminded of my shortcomings."
Have you been on a high-horse lately?
Has everything been going well for you?
Has success somehow clouded your view of others?
Has your comfort become someone else's discomfort?
Today, take a moment to reflect back on a time when you were truly struggling.
Can you remember how good it felt to know that someone was there to lend a helping hand?
"SOBERING MOMENTS ARE A RESULT OF SOBERING MEMORIES!"
"TODAY, BECOME THAT SOBERING MEMORY FOR SOMEONE!"
"HELP SOMEONE IN THEIR TIME OF NEED!"

Genesis 39:9b
"How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?"
Joseph's story always reminds us about how great his intergrity was in the midst of temptation, but the reality is that although we know the story, we have not learned the true lesson.
JOSEPH HAD AN ACTIVE, INTIMATE & MEANINGFUL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, WHICH MADE IT NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR ANY CIRCUMSTANCE TO RATTLE HIS PRIORITIES!
"WHEN YOU TRULY FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR MAKER, YOU WILL LEARN THAT HE FILLS YOUR COMPLETE BEING & THAT THERE IS 'NO ROOM' IN YOUR HEART FOR ANYONE OR ANTHING ELSE!"

Genesis 35:2
So Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, "Get rid of the foreign gods you have with you, and purify yourselves and change your clothes."
We are all placed to lead in some aspect of our live's, and sometimes that means being stern.
Notice, I said STERN, not HARSH.
"CORRECT, REBUKE & CHASTISE WITH LOVE!"
"OUR MOTIVE FOR CORRECTION SHOULD ALWAYS BE BENEFICIAL, NOT HARMFUL!"

Obedience comes from Faith

"...who through the Spirita of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord Through him and for his name's sake, we received grace and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith." ~ Romans 1:4-5 ~
We are called to Obedience and Obedience comes from faith, not the other way around, so it is important what we believe. For example if a young man believes 'being a man' means making money and degrading woman, that is exactly what he will do. If you believe the Bible is God's written Word, the truth, and a instruction manual for life, then you must behave accordingly or you don't really believe it. What we believe matters a great deal. Know what you believe. Sound doctrine is only found in God's Word. Titus said there are many who say they believe God but deny Him by their actions. What do you believe? Does your life reflect it? A lot of people claim to have the truth but there can only be one truth. God is truth. Believe the Bible. Believe God!

Political Agenda of a Christian.

Political Agenda of CHRISTIANS...Romans 13:1 Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. ...Acts 23:5 Paul spoke badly of Ananias but when he was rebuked for it Paul replied, "Brothers, I did not realize that he was the high priest; for it is written: 'Do not speak evil about the ruler of your people.'
If you don't have something encouraging to say...then shut it! (typing and re-posting is the same as speaking by the way) James 3:9-10 With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God’s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. Ephesians 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

CHRISTIANS...please stop the slander and negative postings...IT IS SIN! Instead, use your right to vote, encourage and promote those you are in favor for, but please stop the bashing, negative postings, pictures, and other such things of those you oppose. We as Christians are to be light in the world, we must look and act different if we want people to see CHRIST.
Genesis 22:14

GO TO THE MOUNTAIN!
Do you know someone struggling that your heart goes out for?
GO TO THE MOUNTAIN!
Are you or anyone you know in need of a miracle?
THEN GO TO THE MOUNTAIN!!!

There will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others. But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when he judges you. James 2:13

But I trust in your unfailing love? I will rejoice because you have rescued me ~ Psalm 13:5 ~

God's Love is unfailing. He is faithful to deal with our failings, our fears, and our doubts when we put our faith in Him by the blood of Christ Jesus. He not only saves us to Heaven but He also rescues us from a life of sin here and now, or did you not know in Christ you are above a life of sin, worry, and fear? "The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom" ~Deuteronomy 28:13 ~

Genesis 1:21
"Now the Lord was gracious to Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah what He had promised."
GOD IS FAITHFUL, FAITHFUL, FAITHFUL!!!
EVEN WHEN YOU DOUBT HIM, HIS FAITHFULNESS NEVER FAILS!
YOUR LITTLE MIND NOT BEING ABLE TO GRASP HIS ENORMOUS
POWER IS NOT A REASON FOR GOD'S FAITHFULNESS TO FAIL!
GOD IS NOT DISCOURAGED BY MAN'S LACK OF FAITH!
HE IS GOING TO ACCOMPLISH ALL THAT HE HAS PROMISED!

Sample Curriculum of 2 Timothy

               LYRICS                                              COMMENTARY
And like a workman you’re not ashamed of your life (2:15)/ ‘Cause you’ve rightly divided truth before you reign with the Christ (2:15)

As Christians we are not to be ashamed of our lives before God. Just like a skilled workman is not ashamed of his work because of his training. Also, we are not to be ashamed of our calling as we live out the Word of God in our lives.

And like a bond slave you have no will of your own (2:24)/ Just follow the will of God until you kneel at the throne.

A servant does not live according to their own will and selfish desires but rather according to their master’s will. As Christians, God is our master. By following God’s will, we will one day kneel before Him in heaven and be fully satisfied.

These are the last days when men are lovers of pleasure (3:1-4)/ They don’t seek Gods treasure and they change with the weather (3:5-7).

Pleasure is more important than Godliness to most people today. They are living their lives according to the ways of this world. They change course as their conditions change - like the weather. They seek what the world offers to them as treasure rather than God as the supreme treasure.

But you know my life you know my faith (3:10)/ You walked in my shoes, you looked in my face (3:10).

But, Timothy followed Paul’s life rather than the world’s way of life. Paul modeled for Timothy Christ-likeness in his own life and therefore paved the way for Timothy to follow in his footsteps.

At Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra too (3:11)/ I was beat down cause this is truth (3:11)/ This is the Truth

It didn’t matter where Paul went to preach, he was always beat down for preaching the truth of God.

Genesis 11:31
"Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot son of Haran, and his daughter-in-law Sarai, the wife of his son Abram, and together they set out from Ur of the Chaldeans to go to Canaan. But when they came to Harran, they settled there."
TERAH WAS A MAN WITH AN IDEA OF STARTING ANEW, THEREFORE, HE SETTLED FOR HARRAN (a major city with all its attractions), NEVER REACHING CANAAN (his int...
ended goal).
ABRAM WAS A MAN OF VISION & CHOSE NOT TO SETTLE, BUT TO KEEP PUSHING FORWARD UNTIL HE FINALLY REACHED CANAAN (the promised land).
"AN IDEA IS NOT THE SAME AS A VISION, AN IDEA WILL SOON BE FORGOTTEN, BUT A VISION WILL CAUSE YOU TO STRIVE UNTIL YOU REACH YOUR GOAL!"
TODAY, ASK GOD TO GRANT YOU VISION!

Genesis 6:22
"Noah did everything just as God commanded him."
WITH GOD, THERE IS NO HALF-STEPPING!
IF WE TRULY WANT TO EXPERIENCE GOD'S ANOINTING & POWER IN OUR LIVE'S,
THEN WE MUST DO THINGS THE WAY HE WANTS THINGS DONE & NOT THE WAY WE THINK THEY SHOULD BE DONE!
"GOD DID NOT CHOOSE US BECAUSE WE HAD THE ANSWERS TO LIFE, BUT BECAUSE WE NEEDED ANSWERS!"

What is a Titus Man??? Titus 1:6-9 Spiritual Leadership

Blameless: Without fault; innocent; guiltless. 1 Peter 2:12 "Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us"

Faithful Husband: As our example Isaiah 54:5 "For your Maker is your husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and your Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called" Faithful in many ways...Do not commit adultery, never speak harshly, present her holy and blameless...

Obedient faithful children: Deuteronomy 6:5-6 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children....Psalm 103:17-18 But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children, with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts

Trustworthy with God' work: Galatians 2:6-7 As for those who seemed to be important—whatever they were makes no difference to me; God does not judge by external appearance—those men added nothing to my message. On the contrary, they saw that I had been entrusted with the task of preaching the gospel to the Gentiles, just as Peter had been to the Jews.

Not overbearing: (overbearing) Ruling over with insolence; blustering; manifesting haughty superiority

Slow to anger: Having the quality of enduring evils without murmuring or fretfulness. Not easily provoked; calm under the sufferance of injuries or offenses; not revengeful.

Sober, not given to drunkenness: Temperate in the use of spiritous liquors; habitually temperate; as a sober man. Live a sober, righteous and godly life. Not intoxicated or overpowered by spiritous liquors; not drunken

Not violent (gentle) Mild; meek; soft; bland; not rough, harsh or severe; as a gentle nature, temper or disposition; a gentle manner; a gentle address; a gentle voice. 1 Thess. 27. 2 Tim.2.

Honest: Upright; just; fair in dealing with others; free from trickishness and fraud; acting and having the disposition to act at all times according to justice or correct moral principles; applied to persons. An honest man's the noblest work of God.

Hospitable: bountiful; munificent; free to give; as a generous friend; a generous father. The act or practice of receiving and entertaining strangers or guests without reward, or with kind and generous liberality. A bishop--must be given to hospitality. 1 Tim.3.

One who loves good: Having moral qualities best adapted to its design and use, or the qualities which God's law requires; virtuous; pious; religious; applied to persons, and opposed to bad, vitious, wicked, evil. Promotive of happiness; pleasant; agreeable; cheering; gratifying. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity. Ps.133.

Self Controlled: The act of holding back or hindering from motion, in any manner; hinderance of the will, or of any action, physical, moral or mental.

Upright: Honest; just; not deviating from correct moral principles; as an upright man. Job.

Holy: Properly, whole, entire or perfect, in a moral sense. Hence, pure in heart, temper or dispositions; free from sin and sinful affections. Applied to the Supreme Being, holy signifies perfectly pure, immaculate and complete in moral character; and man is more or less holy, as his heart is more or less sanctified, or purified from evil dispositions. We call a man holy, when his heart is conformed in some degree to the image of God, and his life is regulated by the divine precepts. Hence, holy is used as nearly synonymous with good, pious, godly. Be ye holy; for I am holy. 1 Peter. 1 Hallowed; consecrated or set apart to a sacred use, or to the service or worship of God; a sense frequent in Scripture; as the holy sabbath; holy oil; holy vessels; a holy nation; the holy temple; a holy priesthood. Proceeding from pious principles,or directed to pious purposes; as holy zeal. Perfectly just and good; as the holy law of God.

Disciplined:  Instructed; educated; subjected to rules and regulations; corrected; chastised; punished; admonished. Reproved; advised; warned; instructed

Hold firmly to the message as it has been taught (biblical truths): Fixed; steady; constant; stable; unshaken; not easily moved; as a firm believer; a firm friend; a firm adherent or supporter; a firm man, or a man of firm resolution. This word is rarely used, except in poetry. In prose, we use confirm.

Encourage others with sound doctrine: (sound) Founded in truth; firm; strong; valid; solid; that cannot be overthrown or refuted; as sound reasoning; a sound argument; a sound objection; sound doctrine; sound principles. Right; correct; well founded; free form error; orthodox. II Tim 1. Let my heart be sound in thy statutes. Ps. 119 (Doctrine) In a general sense, whatever is taught. Hence, a principle or position in any science; whatever is laid down as true by an instructor or master. The doctrines of the gospel are the principles or truths taught by Christ and his apostles. The doctrines of Plato are the principles which he taught. Hence a doctrine may be true or false; it may be a mere tenet or opinion

Refute those who oppose him in sound biblical doctrine: The primary sense of futo, is to drive or thrust, to beat back.] To disprove and overthrow by argument, evidence or countervailing proof; to prove to be false or erroneous; to confute. We say, to refute arguments, to refute testimony, to refute opinions or theories, to refute a disputant. There were so many witnesses to these two miracles, that it is impossible to refute such multitudes.

YOU WILL ONLY GO IN CIRCLES UNTIL YOU SURRENDER YOURSELF & YOUR CIRCUMSTANCE TO HIM!
GIVE UP & GIVE IN!
YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID!

Sing a New Song of Joy Today...

You thrill me, Lord, with all you have done for me! I sing for joy because of what you have done. ~ Psalm 92:4 ~

Below is a beautiful commentary by Matthew Henry. To write such a poetic commentary on such a simple passage of the text shows great love for the Lord. I encourage you to take time when reading the Word, pray for understanding, then soak in everything being said. Psalm 92:4 seems to be a simple verse but there is enough there for a lifetime of praise when you meditate on what is being said. How many things can you think of that God has done for you that thrill you? How many things has he done since the beginning of creation? Wow!, Why would I ever be depressed?
"It is a privilege that we are admitted to praise the Lord, and hope to be accepted in the morning, and every night; not only on sabbath days, but every day; not only in public, but in private, and in our families. Let us give thanks every morning for the mercies of the night, and every night for the mercies of the day; going out, and coming in, let us bless God. As He makes us glad, through the works of his providence for us, and of his grace in us, and both through the great work of redemption, let us hence be encouraged. As there are many who know not the designs of Providence, nor care to know them, those who through grace do so, have the more reason to be thankful. And if distant views of the great Deliverer so animated believers of old, how should we abound in love and praise!" ~ Matthew Henry ~

What a 'Bright' Idea.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord... Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them...But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for it is light that makes everything visible....~ Ephesians 5:8-14
It says "You were Darkness" and "You are light in the Lord" Did you catch that? Not, you were in, darkness and now are in, light, but you were darkness, but now you are light. This is why unbelievers are uncomfortable around believers. Through the Lord you (as light) expose their sin and they feel convicted or guilty. The virtue, or the righteousness, is light reflected onto their sin, or darkness, therefore exposing it in the heart of the unbeliever. This verse does not mean go around pointing out peoples faults, on the contrary, it should move you to be careful to a life worthy of the calling you have received in Christ so that the Lord may grant repentance to others because of you.

How to get involved in Men's Ministry

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near ~ Hebrews 10:24-25 ~
When was the last time you gathered with other men outside of Sunday for bible study, fellowship, prayer, or encouragement? Are you one that has neglected meeting together?

How do you get involved in Men's Ministry?...It's real simple, you put one foot in front of the other and show up, yep, you might miss a T.V. show or a football game, but what you will not miss is a lifting up of your soul, a spiritual strengthening, and an opportunity to do the same for others. Our hand is extended to you as an invitation to get involved. Our hand is also extended as a hand you can grab onto to help you climb up out of your old routine. There are brothers that have amazing stories to share and there are brothers that need to hear your story too. I heard a quote once that says's "Stories rescue us from the strangeness of one another"
 Get Involved!

Genesis 4:15a, 23-24
"But the Lord said to him, "Not so ; anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over."
"Lamech said to his wives, "Adah and Zillah, listen to me; wives of Lamech, hear my words. I have killed a man for wounding me, a young man for injuring me. If Cain is avenged seven times, then Lamech seventy-seven times."
IN THE INSTANCE OF CAIN, GOD GAVE THE DECREE OF SEVEN TIMES OVER,
BUT IN LAMECH'S CASE, HE MAGNIFIED HIMSELF & CARRIED OUT HIS OWN JUDGEMENT!
LESSON OF THE DAY:
"WHEN YOU MAKE YOURSELF OF GREATER IMPORTANCE, GOD BECOMES LAST ON YOUR LIST!"

Really, Really, Really worth Reading! What Dictionary is in your Home?

Quote from Noah Webster: In my view, the Christian religion is the most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government ought to be instructed.. .No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people.

Noah Webster, the Father of American Christian education, wrote the first American dictionary and established a system of rules to govern spelling, grammar, and reading. Webster used the Bible as the foundation for his definitions. No other dictionary compares with the Webster's 1828 dictionary. The English language has changed again and again and in many instances has become corrupt. The 1828 version was the last version before scripture started to be removed from the definitions. The American Dictionary of the English Language is based upon God's written word, for Noah Webster used the Bible as the foundation for his definitions. Webster considered "education useless without the Bible." And as a result he utilized God's written word as a key to the meaning of words. This is the reason, the Webster 1828 is one of the most important reprint of the twentieth century, the essential tool of education for Christians. Below are some comparisons from the 1828 dictionary and today's dictionary, you will be amazed to discover the secularization of our modern English language. For your reference here is a link to an on-line easy to use 1828 copy of Noah Webster's Dictionary.

1828 - Marriage: The act of uniting a man and woman for life; wedlock; the legal union of a man and woman for life. Marriage is a contract both civil and religious, by which the parties engage to live together in mutual affection and fidelity, till death shall separate them. Marriage was instituted by God himself for the purpose of preventing the promiscuous intercourse of the sexes, for promoting domestic felicity, and for securing the maintenance and education of children...Marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled. Heb.13.
.
2012 - Marriage: A. the social institution under which a man and woman establish their decision to live as husband and wife by legal commitments, religious ceremonies, etc.  B. A similar institution involving partners o the same gender: Gay Marriage
1828 - Education: The bringing up, as of a child, instruction; formation of manners. Education comprehends all that series of instruction and discipline which is intended to enlighten the understanding, correct the temper, and form the manners and habits of youth, and fit them for usefulness in their future stations. To give children a good education in manners, arts and science, is important; to give them a religious education is indispensable; and an immense responsibility rests on parents and guardians who neglect these duties...

2012 - Eduction: Something educed. The act or process of educing. (to draw forth or bring out)

1828 - Truth: Conformity to fact or reality; exact accordance with that which is, or has been, or shall be. The truth of history constitutes its whole value. We rely on the truth of the scriptural prophecies. My mouth shall speak truth. Prov.8. Sanctify them through thy truth; thy word is truth. John. 17.

2012 - Truth: The quality of being true...A proven principle or statement (the truths of Astronomy)...Fidelity to a required standard or law.

1828 - Love: The christian loves his Bible. In short, we love whatever gives us pleasure and delight, whether animal or intellectual; and if our hearts are right, we love God above all things, as the sum of all excellence and all the attributes which can communicate happiness to intelligent beings. In other words, the christian loves God with the love of complacency in his attributes, the love of benevolence towards the interest of his kingdom, and the love of gratitude for favors received...Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind...Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. Matt. 22...To have benevolence or good will for. John 3

2012 - Love: A profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person...Sexual passion or desire.

A 3 Year Old Prohecy was Fulfilled Today!

"'In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. ~ Acts 2:17 ~

Three years ago I met a couple guys named Frank Woods and Rob Honey. Shortly after meeting them the Lord gave me a vision of the three of us on the radio together doing a show in which the Bible was taught. I told Frank and Rob of my vision but I barely knew them at the time so they graciously listened and kind of forgot about it, until today. Earlier this week my wife and I were asked by Minister Richard Brown to help pass out flyer's for an up coming outreach. We were told to meet him Sunday (today) at three pm at BASICS in Milwaukee. When we get there however, Richard tells us, "I completely forgot, before we go pass out flyers we have to record a segment for a radio show, but you can sit in and listen. Cool I thought, but still not putting two and two together. We get up to the room and find Rob Honey there. Just before they begin Richard says to me and my wife "You know, it would be nice if you would join the discussion on the radio show" then guess who else shows up? Yep, Frank Woods. The three of us on the radio sharing the Gospel just like God showed me three years earlier. There were others too but God showed me the three of us.
Afterwards we were invited to be a regular part of the show. A three year old prophetic word fulfilled

Men, we serve a living God that still speaks to His children today. Do not be discouraged if you do not see the fruition of God's Word immediately, if He said it, He will do it!

1 John 4:19-21
"We love because He first loved us. Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a LIAR. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, CANNOT love God, whom they have not seen. And He has given us this command: Anyone who loves God must also love their brother and sister."
REALITY IS THAT;
"WHEN WE HOLD GRUDGES & STILL FIND A WAY TO (supposedly) LOVE GOD, WE ARE ONLY LYING TO OURSELVES!
"GRUDGES ARE WALLS THAT KEEP US FROM GOD!"
I ENCOURAGE TO RELEASE WHOEVER HAS WRONGED YOU & GRAB A HOLD OF GOD WITHOUT BARRIERS!

Psalm 100:4
"Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name."
CAN YOU AGREE WITH THE PHRASE,
"WE ALWAYS SEEM TO APPROACH GOD WITH SOME KIND OF NEED"?
I KNOW I CAN, BUT I'M ALSO HERE TO REMIND YOU THAT ALTHOUGH GOD IS NOT IN NEED,
HE DOES APPRECIATE IT WHEN WE JUST APPROACH HIM WITH THE INTIMATE DESIRE OF SPENDING TIME WITH HIM!
WILL YOU DO THAT TODAY?

1 John 4:8
"Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love."
LOVE IS NOT A WORD THAT SOMEONE SAYS,
BUT AN ACTION THAT THEY CONTINUALLY PERFORM!
SERVANTHOOD IS THE GREATEST FORM OF LOVE WE CAN OFFER!

Movie Night

Men, you are invited this saturday night to movie night. Remnant Force Men's Ministry will be showing the film "The Daniel Project" afterwards we will have a discussion about the film and some fellowship. Feel free to bring a treat to share but it's not necessary. This is a great documentary that views like a movie. I myself did not want it to end.
What is the Daniel Project? What's it all about? Is the world as we know it about to end? What hope is there for the future existence of mankind? "The Daniel Project" is a gripping documentary for our time Comments: "Probably the most important documentary I have ever seen. I would describe it as inspired and ground-breaking in its field. Challenging and compelling. This is a must-see for 2012 and the clock is ticking...." "“The film has me wanting to watch it over again, I did not want it to end. It lays out the facts and gets straight to the point; if it were any clearer it would be see-through.”

Politics.

There are people today who believe that in order to change the way humans are, you need to change the world around them. Of course, change may be slow, they admit, but eventually, if conditions are modified for a long enough period of time, we will have a "new" human. While we as Christians don't discout the influence of enviroment, we maintain that the only way people truly change is from the inside out. All other "change" is window dressing that doesn't affect the basic human nature. That can only be changed by God. How then can we best counteract sinful influences in society? By introducing more of our fellow humans to God and by allowing God to live His life through us.
Isaiah 1:18 tells us"Come now, let us reason together," says the Lord. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. Israel is invited to discuss with God the accusations made against her. Verses 5-8 in Isaiah chapter 1 says, "I raised children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against me...Ah, sinful nation, a people loaded with guilt, a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption!...They have forsaken the Lord" God intends to show that Israel is precisely that sinful nation which He accused her of being. But in verses 18-19 God gives hope to a sinful nation. "...Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land..." The promised change carries conditions: Willingness and obedience. Without that change of life (repentance) which involves a willingness to turn from wickedness to obedience, the promise is ineffective. But in Israel's sinful state is she able to create willingness and obedience? Hardly. The ability to fulfill these requirements is a gift of God, His grace. At the same time, the responsibility of the nation to obey is not lessened. It is the mystery of the free offer of the Gospel. Verse 20 tells us "but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.”  Israel is not much different than the United States today, the warning and the promise for them is the same warning and promise for us... "Come now, let us reason together," says the Lord. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool, if you are willing and obedient...but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.”
And last but not least from Deuteronomy 17:15-20 "be sure to appoint over you the king the Lord your God chooses. He must be from among your own brothers. Do not place a foreigner over you, one who is not a brother Israelite (Christian) The king, moreover, must not acquire great numbers of horses for himself or make the people return to Egypt to get more of them, for the Lord has told you, “You are not to go back that way again" (passing laws that make us slaves again to sin) He must not take many wives, or his heart will be led astray. (He must be faithful) He must not accumulate large amounts of silver and gold. When he takes the throne of his kingdom, he is to write for himself on a scroll a copy of this law (the Holy Bible). It is to be with him, and he is to read it all the days of his life so that he may learn to revere the Lord his God and follow carefully all the words of this law and these decrees and not consider himself better than his brothers and turn from the law to the right or to the left. Then he and his descendants will reign a long time over his kingdom in Israel.

Psalm 119:37 "Lord, Turn our eyes away from worthless things; preserve our life according to your word."

Taken in part from a study of Isaiah titled "From Darkness to Light"

"So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey..."
THE PROMISE LAND IS ONE OF CONTINUOUS FLOW, NOT CONSTANT LACK!
IF WE REMAIN IN GOD'S PERFECT WILL FOR OUR LIVE'S,
HE IS UNDER OATH TO PROVIDE,
BUT IT IS WHEN WE STRAY FROM HIS PATH THAT THINGS START FALLING APART.
If this is you, IT'S OK! Just return to Him & He will do the rest!

Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others ~ 1 Corinthians 10:24

...live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. ~ Ephesians 5:2 ~
Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain. Turn my eyes away from worthless things preserve my life according to your word. ~ Psalms 199:36-37 ~ As a Christ follower your life is not your own, it was purchased by the blood of Christ. Take special note of the words "has given Himself for us, an offering to God"  Jesus sacrifice was for us, but, as an offering to God. Without entire self-sacrifice the new command, the command of love, cannot be fulfilled. WITHOUT SELF-SACRIFICE WE CANNOT LOVE AS JESUS LOVED. The self-sacrifice in which you have devoted yourself to God's service binds you also to your fellowmen, for the same act that makes you entirely God's, makes you entirely theirs. In all self-sacrifice their must be two sides, Christ self-sacrifice had a God-ward as well as a man-ward aspect. It was for us...but...to God! His sacrifice was not for self recognition, rather it was for us, but, to God. Let our self-sacrifice also be for others, but to God. A daily self -sacrifice must start with the little things, and it must start at home. Serve your wife and family not as a burden, but as an offering to God. For them, but to God.
May your life be the proof of His love.

No Worries, No Problems...

O Sovereign LORD, you are God! ... For you are God, O Sovereign LORD. 2 Samuel 7:28

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life. Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? Luke 12:25-26
I can honestly say I don't have a single problem in my life. A problem is defined as a matter involving doubt, or something that requires a solution. So, although I have many troubles in my life, I have no problems, because God is a Sovereign God, He is in complete control, He is a ever-present help in time of need, and He is involved in every detail of my life. Because God is Sovereign anything that happens in my life, good, what I perceive as bad, or otherwise, He must allow it and is in complete control of it. So whether it be for discipline, growth, or the benefit of others, God is in complete control, He not only has a solution but He is the solution. Therefore...No Problem! I embrace every situation..."Being joyful always, praying continually, and giving thanks in every circumstance for this is God's will for me in Christ Jesus" 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

In every situation ask God, "What do you want me to learn from this, or do in this? Then follow His instructuons...

1. Discipline: Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. 1 Peter 4:12 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. ... As you endure this divine discipline, remember that God is treating you as his own children... No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:7,11 All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. 2 Timothy 3:16

2. Growth:  ...We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. Romans 5:4-5

3. Others: For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. 1 Peter 2:21 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed..." Luke 4:18

John 3:36
"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on them."
ACCEPT IT OR REJECT IT,
BUT GOD'S WORD REMAINS TRUE!
THERE IS A CHOICE WE MUST ALL MAKE IN LIFE THAT WILL OUTWEIGH ANY DECISION WE'VE EVER MADE!
YOU MAY TELL YOURSELF, 'I LIVE A GOOD LIFE',
BUT IF YOUR LIFESTYLE DOES NOT REFLECT THAT OF CHRIST, THEN YOUR ARE IN NEED OF GOD'S GRACE IN YOUR LIFE!
MY PRAYERS ARE THAT YOU WOULD:
"REPENT & ACCEPT CHRIST!"
If your are serious about your decision, we have a team that will pray with you & counsel you.

Selfishness, Passions, & Pleasures.
"But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth"  James:3:14

Don't brag about selfish ambition but at the same time don't just supress it either...
Confess it to the Lord and Repent

When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. James 4:3

say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions... and
we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. ... Titus 2:12

ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. ... because
you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. ... James 4:3

Live for God

For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. ~ Galatians 2:19-20
I was not saved so I might live a comfortable life of luxury...I was saved so that I might Live for God! The life I live in the body...I live by faith in Christ Jesus. It is no longer I that lives...but Christ in me.
Matthew 6:7-8
"And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him."
Notice, it says; "THEIR MANY WORDS"...
PRAYER IS MEANT TO BE A RELEASE FROM YOU TO GOD,
HERE WE ARE WARNED NOT TO IMITATE A PAGAN,
AND A "PAGAN" IS ONE WHO DELIGHTS IN PHYSICAL & MATERIAL PLEASURES.
THEREFORE, EVERYTHING THAT COMES FORTH FROM THEIR MOUTH IS "SOLELY FOR THEIR OWN BENEFIT", WHETHER IT BE RECOGNITION, ACKNOWLEDGEMENT, FINANCIAL GAIN, ETC.
"THE POINT IS PRAYER IS SUPPOSED TO REACH HEAVEN, AND THE ONLY WAY OF REACHING HEAVEN IS WITH YOUR HEART, NOT YOUR WORDS!!!"

Hidden Treasure - There's Wealth in the Word

My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom
and applying your heart to understanding, and if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. ~ Psalm 2:1-5 ~
1. Accept God's Word as truth

2. Store up His commands (continul learning and retaining)

3. Don't just read the words but really listen to what they are saying

4. Develop a deep love for God's commands

5. look deeper than the surface

6. yearn to understand, cry out to God for it.

7. Seek out understanding as if searching for a large amount of lost money.

8. Like a treasure map let one understanding or clue lead you to another, and search diligently.

9. Do these things and you will understand the fear of the Lord

10. Do these things and you will find the knowledge of God.

Malachi 3:16-18
"Then those who feared the Lord talked with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in His presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored His name. "On the day when I act," says the Lord Almighty, "they will be My Treasured Possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not."

10 Verses to Witness By

Ever want to share scripture when witnessing but felt lost? Your testimony or what Jesus did for you is a great place to start, but if your like me when I was first saved, I wanted to share scripture. Well, here are 10 verses to get you started. Write them in the front of your Bible for easy access when witnessing until you memorize them, then dig into the Word for more.

1. Romans 5:12 When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam's sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.

2.  John 3:16 But God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
3.  Luke 24:7 Jesus said "The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again."
4. Acts 2:32-33 And God has raised this Jesus to life, and we are all witnesses of the fact. Exalted to the right hand of God, he has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear
5. Hebrews 7:23-25  Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

6. 1 John 3:7-10 Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. He who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. He who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not a child of God; nor is anyone who does not love his brother.
7. 1 John 3:16 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us.
8. 1 John 5:12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

9. 1 Peter 5:10 In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of
Jesus, so after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
10. Deuteronomy 30:19-20 “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the Lord your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the Lord, you will live long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”
1 Peter 2:25
"For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls."
JESUS!!! JESUS!!! JESUS!!!
"THE MORE WE MATURE IN CHRIST, THE MORE HUMBLED WE BECOME WITH THIS KNOWLEDGE OF SAVING GRACE!"
"THE TRUE MARK OF MATURITY IS HUMILITY,
WHILE PRIDE DISPLAYS IMMATURITY!"
"IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO SPEND TIME IN GOD'S PRESENCE & REMAIN IGNORANT OF HOW SMALL WE TRULY ARE & HOW GREAT GOD TRULY IS!!!"

411 & 911

411...Isaiah 41:10 "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand"
God's Written Word always resolves emergencies. And remember, in the case of an emergency or a 911, call on 911. Psalm 91:1 that is "Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty"

Romans 6:1-2
"What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?"
IF THERE IS ANY COMFORT LEVEL IN YOUR LIFE CONCERNING "SIN",
THEN YOU MUST RE-EXAMINE YOUR HEART!
TOLERANCE OF "SIN" USUALLY RESULTS IN ACCEPTANCE OF THE SAME!

Some Hard Meat to Chew...

Beware of Turning to Evil, which you seem to Prefer over Afliction
~ Job 36:21 ~
We learned in Titus that sin is at times described as wrong Passions and Pleasures  "At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures" Now in Job we read that we often prefer evil (wrong passions and pleasures) over affliction - a state of pain, distress, or grief; misery. You might say "well duh?" James 1:15 tells us "Then, after desire has conceived, (wrong passions and pleasures) it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death" but Job 36:15 is God's promise that leads to life in Christ "... But by means of their suffering, he rescues those who suffer. ... He delivers the afflicted by their affliction and opens their ear by adversity"

Psalm 34:18 tells us "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" "So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor"  ~ 1 Peter 5:6 ~
Hebrews 6:10-12
"God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised."
OUR ENDURANCE IN CHRIST IS A DESIRE TO PREVAIL DUE TO A PROMISE OF VICTORY NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCE!
THEREFORE, IN THE AFTERMATH OF WHATEVER SITUATION YOU MAY FIND YOURSELF IN;
"ENDURE & RECEIVE YOUR PROMISE!"

Today was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day...Thank You Lord!

"...for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong" ~ 2 Corinthians 12:10 ~
When someone verbally attacks your faith in God, when things don't seem to go right, when trouble and sorrow knocks at your door, how do you respond? If your following the Lord and not suffering for doing wrong, your first response should be joy. Insults, hardships, & difficulties, these are some of the things that draw us nearer to God, these are some of the things that give us confirmation we belong to Him, and in them He fills us with His strength. If delight and prayers of thanksgiving are not your first response, ask God to increase your faith for "this is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us" ~ 1 John 5:14 ~.
Hebrews 5:7
"During the days of Jesus' life on earth, He offered up prayers and petitions with Fervent cries and tears to the One who could save Him from death, and He was heard because of His Reverent Submission."
BEING A CHRISTIAN IS NOT JUST AN OUTWARD CONFESSION THAT A PERSON MAKES, INSTEAD, BEING A CHRISTIAN REQUIRES AN INWARD DESIRE TO SEEK THE HEAVENLY FATHER!
IF WE ARE TO BE CHRIST-LIKE,
THEN WE MUST LEARN FROM HIS GREATEST TEACHING:
"LIVE & BREATHE WITH REVERENCE FOR YOUR CREATOR!"

Hebrews 412-13
"For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account."
HE KNOWS US & YET HE LOVES US!!!
WOW, WHAT AN AWESOME GOD WE SERVE!!!

Evil disguised as Good

When you think of sin what comes to mind? Is it evil, disobedience, mean spirited, greed, and things like that? Although sin can be describes as such, read what the Bible says; "At one time we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures". ~ Titus 3 ~
"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves" ~ Matthew 7:15 ~ Stay away from anyone who preaches only prosperity and comfort. Truth is if sin didn't appear to be pleasurable we wouldn't do it. That's why it's deception. Don't allow your emotions and senses to lead you into sin. This life is about bringing glory to God, not pleasing ourselves. Before you do anything or go anywhere, especially concerning entertainment today, take the time to examine the passions and pleasures to make sure they are not sinful.
